Driftwood is a rustic beach lodge in Zanzibar, situated on the south-east coast of the island. We’ve been offering our holiday makers an authentic Zanzibar experience since October 2017. We’re just one hour’s drive from Stone Town, the iconic capital, but a world away from its hustle and bustle.

This intimate Zanzibar beach lodge has all you need, whether you’re looking for relaxation or excitement. We’ve created( Renovated) a superb place to chill out, with our nine en suite bungalows just a few steps from the beach, and our main bar and restaurant even closer to the ocean.

The design of all our buildings reflects our approach to life: open and inviting. Makuti thatch umbrellas on our beach provide the perfect spot to while away the day – and the bar is within earshot, so you can just call for that drink.

Or relax in our shady TV lounge / library or outdoor bandas – all you need is a cold drink and a good book, and you’re all set. To go absolutely nowhere, if that’s what you choose.

Driftwood Beach Lodge is the antidote to the crazy pace of modern life. As the local people collect seaweed from the beach at low tide, or head out to sea in their tr aditional fishing boats, you might just get the feeling that they know something we don’t.
