Description

Lake Bunyonyi ( many little birds) lies in south western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale close to the border with Rwanda. Located at 1,962 m above sea level, it is about 25 km long and 7 km wide, Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa. The temperature on the surface rises to 25 degrees Celsius (77 °F) the lake has 29 islands and is bilharzia and safe for swimming

The Resort is run and owned by professional tour Guide Basiima Robert and his wife Jessica who initiated this project in 2013, with the intention to improve the quality of Hospitality and improve the economic status of the Local community in Uganda and the Great Lakes region of Africa.

Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort is an eco-resort on the banks of Lake Bunyonyi which is strategically situated with the best views of several islands on the lake, and the Muhabura Mountain on the boarders of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.
