Melinde Hotel is a small resort in Arab / Indian style, predominant colouring with white and gold situated in the heart of Malindi at 125 km from the Moi International airport, Mombasa. The hotel is close to commercial facilities, besides tourist attractions such as the Casino and discotheques.

It lies only a few steps away from its own private beach which makes it a unique place for a romantic and holiday vacation gateway at the Kenyan Coast. The private beach is equipped with a nice bar, beach umbrellas and beach–beds provided with beach mattresses.

The hotel has 19 charming rooms available; 10 of them are double deluxe overlooking the swimming pool; seven are luxury, further from the pool, with a drawing space and writing desk; and two suites which may accommodate up to four people and contain a mini bar and TV.

All bedrooms have a king size bed with mosquito net, the bed resting on a stone base with powdered white marble sponged with powdered gold paint, a wardrobe, private bathroom with shower, towels, soap, hair dryer, a ceiling fan and air conditioning.

The Italian cousine of Melinde Hotel's restaurant is refined and à la cart. Once a week, the restaurant proposes a typical African–Swahili menu. For the luncheon it is necessary to wear a beach – robe; for the evening meal, formal attire is required.
