Description

This 12 day safari gives you an opportunity to sample some of the best parks in Kenya and Tanzania. The Tour gives you opportunities for viewing the snow-capped tropical Mount Kenya and the semi-arid vegetation and wildlife of the Samburu. It takes you through to Amboseli where you will see herds of elephants against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro and to the Masai Mara national reserve known for its abundance game and the big five. Later cross the border to sample what Tanzania has to offer.

  • Arrival

    You will be picked up at the airport on your arrival and be taken to the office/hotel for a Tour briefing. You will later be dropped at your hotel where you will spend the night before your Tour begins on the following day. Overnight at Hennesis Hotel(Bed and Breakfast).

  • Nairobi to mt kenya

    Depart from Nairobi at 8.00 am for the Mount Kenya National Park. You will have stop-overs via the agricultural zones of central Kenya as well as Karatina market-the largest fresh food market in East Africa. You will be arriving at Naro Moru River camp in time for lunch, with spectacular views of Mt. Kenya (if its clear day). Later take an easy walk to Judmaier camp (3-4) at 11.000ft. Dinner and overnight at Bantu Lodge.

  • Mt kenya to samburu national park

    Proceed to the Samburu Game Reserve after breakfast. The drive through the highlands to the semi-arid frontier of Kenya is breath-taking. Arrive in Samburu in time for lunch. There will be time to settle in before your safari adventure. Set out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve at around 4.00pm. Return to the camp before dark. Dinner and overnight: Samburu Tented Camp.

  • Samburu natinal park

    The whole day will be spent at the Samburu game reserve with unlimited game viewing drives along the banks of the Ewaso nyiro River. Samburu National Reserve is situated about 350 kms north of Nairobi in the semi-arid part of Kenya. Ewaso Nyiro River, the only water source in the dry season, bisects the reserve and apart from providing water to life, the river is home to some of the biggest Reptiles in the region and attracts a good number of birds. Some 300 different species have already been recorded. An unusual forked palm, the doum palm, grows along the banks of this river and adds striking beauty to the panorama. Wildlife is surprisingly abundant for such a dry place and includes species such as Gerenuk, Dik-dik, GrantÂ’s and ThomsonÂ’s gazelles, elephant, cheetah, leopard and lion. There are several species, which are unique to this area including; GrevyÂ’s zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali Ostrich, and reticulated Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Tented Camp.

  • Samburu national park to nakuru

    After early breakfast depart for a morning game drive in the reserve, en-route to the gate. Drive a southerly direction to the equator for a brief stop. Here, the locals do a water demonstration to qualify the position of the equator and for a small tip you could be awarded an ‘equator Certificate’. After the brief stop, drive to the Nyahururu Falls for a photo-stop then down into the Great Rift Valley. As you ascend the eastern wall of the Rift Valley, lush coffee and tea plantations reveal themselves and your driver-guides will give you a brief talk about coffee farming in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at Chester Hotel.

  • Nakuru to lake Bogoria

    This day you will leave early in the morning after breakfast to visit Lake Bogoria which is famous for its springs like hot, warm, cold geysers from the underground form due to volcanic activities.With your picnic lunch you will accompany yourself with eggs to see how hot the geysers actually are. You will drive back to your hotel in Nakuru for dinner and overnight at Chester Hotel.

  • Nakuru to masai mara

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, check out thereafter and drive via Narok town to Masai Mara National reserve, the land of the Masai tribe. The proud young Masai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears will challenge your curiosity. The 700-square-mile game reserve is the Africa of your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. Check in to your lodge; enjoy your lunch in the lodge. There will be time to settle in before your first game drive.Afternoon game drive in the reserve and return to the lodge before dark.Dinner and overnight at Mara Springs Tented Camp.

  • Masai mara

    Today there will be a possibility to take an optional hot air balloon ride (costs excluded). “Take to the skies for the ultimate Masai Mara wildlife adventure, soaring in a hot air balloon over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You’ll ascend in the early morning, when winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the balloon with hot air. Slowly the big, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape. After your incredible flight, it’s time to come back down to earth for breakfast. You might wonder what all the ordinary people are doing on this perfect African morning! Before leaving, the pilot will present you with your balloon flight certificate, and then you’ll enjoy a game drive en route back to the camp. No flight of the imagination can match this airborne experience.If you dont opt for the balloon ride, you will enjoy a full day uninterrupted game drive.Dinner and overnight at Mara Springs Tented Camp.

  • Masai mara to lake naivasha

    Full buffet breakfast in the camp, and then check out. Drive to Lake Naivasha where you will have your lunch en route. After lunch in Mt LongÂ’onot transit hotel you will go on with the drive to Hells Gate National Park where you will see most of the activities which were formed due to volcanic activities like hot, cold, warm springs.Arrive in the camp in the evening.Dinner and overnight at CarnelleyÂ’s Camp.

  • Green crater lake

    Breakfast will be at 7.00 am and then be picked up by our driver at 8.00am. The road to the Green Crater Lake takes you out of Naivasha and along a rough and bumpy road down the edge of Lake Naivasha, passing by huge Greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for the export market. You will arrive at the Green Crater Lake at 9.30am approx and you will begin your morning game walk. The green Crater Lake was formed by volcanic activity. The group will walk in a reserve where itÂ’s possible to get up close to Giraffe and many varieties of antelope. ItÂ’s a great opportunity for photos. The guides will answer questions about the animals, birdlife etc and point out the rocks formed due to the volcanic activity. Elsamere, the home of the late Joy and George Adamson is just a few kms away. Joy is famous for her book Born Free and was an artist of some note.   • Amboseli national park

    You will take your early morning breakfast then you will be driven to the southern part of Kenya to Amboseli National Park where you will pass the border of Kenya and Tanzania (note: please when you are passing to Amboseli National Park the visa is not needed because the park is on the side of Kenya).You will arrive in the park late evening with a game drive enroute to your lodge in search of the big herds of elephants and other big five animals. Overnight and dinner at the Amboseli Kimana Tented camp.

  • Ngorongoro crater

    After early morning breakfast you will have a good time in the morning to see the mount Kilimanjaro view point and take the photos, then the game drive en route when getting out of the national park to Namanga boarder. Here, you will be received by Tanzanian driver guide and then be driven to Ngorongoro crater.

  • Ngorongoro to arusha

    Wake for an early breakfast and depart for Arusha arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon depart for Nairobi arriving in the evening hours. Depending with your flight you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your flight home or to your hotel in Nairobi.End of Tour
