You will have the chance to experience two of the most incredible wildlife spectacles on the planet on this Safari to Rwanda and Tanzania. You will see mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park and an awesome array of wildlife in the Serengeti, perhaps even the wildebeest migration and river crossings.

  • Kigali

    After your arrival in Kigali you will be met at the airport and taken by private vehicle to the Serena Hotel. Eat at the hotel or head into Kigali. Tired after a long journey? Stay another night and sample some of the historic sights of Kigali such as the Genocide Museum.

  • Gorilla trekking

    Sabyinyo will pick you up from Serena Hotel in the morning for the short drive through the scenic hills of Rwanda. Settle in to Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge on arrival, lots of afternoon activities available, including golden monkey treks (extra), and local community visits.

    Discuss and prepare for the following days gorilla treks. You have 2 permits for gorilla trekking over the following 2 days. Trekking is generally of moderate difficulty but conditions can be hot and wet, be sure to bring the correct gear. You will be getting up close and personal with the gorillas!

  • Return to Kigali

    Today you will return to Kigali after some successful gorilla trekking. Time for some rest at Serena Kigali as you will be tired from trekking and its an early start tomorrow. A pack lunch from Sabyinyo will be provided, your choice of restaurants in Kigali for dinner.

  • The Serengeti

    A transfer back to the airport has been arranged for your early flight from Kigali directly into the Serengeti and Kogatende airstrip. Start your game drives straight away on the way back to camp. Experience luxury under canvas at one of the finest mobile camps in the Serengeti.

    Enjoy top notch guiding, food and service as you explore one of the worlds premier wildlife spectacles. Private guides and vehicles are available on request.

  • Dar es Salaam

    Today take a direct fast flight to Dar es Salaam or your required destination. Paul Tickner Safaris can arrange hotels, transfers extensions to your safari.
