Our senior partner Christian traveled since 1974 and Kenya has developed at this time a special relationship with the country. Then when the daughter Claudia was helped mother Monika mid 90s addicted to magic of the African country, the decision was made to build a new life in Kenya, not more difficult.

Since Christian brought enough experience in hotel management through rental stores in the Canary Islands and Claudia, the foundation for Salama Beach Resort was set in April of 2005. The construction took almost 3 eventful years, so that the opening in September 2007 could be celebrated.

A year earlier the restaurant Maridadi was opened in the area, and had made himself with his excellent cuisine after a short time far beyond the borders Mombassas addition a name, not least because some gourmet tester of national newspapers, the Food and have the service in Maridadi highly praised.

The failure of the presidential elections in December 2007, then caused a setback in the straight again flourishing tourism industry in Kenya, of which the Salama just created Beach Resort was also affected.

Meanwhile, tourism has rediscovered this beautiful country for itself and we are confident about the future.
