Site

Amboseli National Park lies in the North West at Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the Kenyan border with Tanzania. The park covers 392 km² and forms part of the much larger 3,000 km² Amboseli eco-system. Large concentrations and variety of wildlife inhabit this arid savanna, making Amboseli a popular tourist destination. Amboseli is the place where you can watch elephants with the snow-capped Kilimanjaro as the background.

Location

Sentrim Amboseli offers luxury guest accommodation and services. It is bordering the Amboseli National Park, 3 km from Kimana gate. The 60 luxurious and comfortable deluxe tents and homes are spread out across the plains and offer fantastic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Access

The main road into the Park from Nairobi is via Emali (228 km) on the Nairobi - Mombasa road. The other road is via Namanga (240 km) on the Nairobi - Arusha road. It takes approximately 4 hours by road to reach Sentrim Amboseli from Nairobi and 50 minutes by air. The camp is 15 km from the airstrip. Access from Mombasa is on the Mombasa - Nairobi  highway via Emali to Kimana gate.

Climate

Generally hot and dry fanned by a cool breeze. Long rains are anticipated from mid April to May and the short rains from November to early December. Minimum temperature of 18°C and maximum of 33°C
