• Day 1

  Arrival in Arusha Tanzania

  When you arrive in Arusha Tanzania for your Adventure safari package, our Above Safaris staff will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in Arusha. You are free to relax at the hotel before dinner and overnight. Make sure to get a good night sleep because your safari will depart early the next morning.

• Day 2

  Tarangire National Park

  After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your safari Guide around 8:30am and will begin your Adventure safari package by traveling to one of TanzaniaÂ’s most spectacular parks, Tarangire. Often compared to Serengeti, Tarangire boasts wide open savannas which are a sanctuary for wildlife.

  It is guaranteed to be a highlight of your adventure. You are most likely to see: Wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, eland, antelopes, cheetahs, lions, tons of different bird species, and massive herds of elephants.

• Day 3

  Travel to Serengeti National Park

  In the morning you will make your journey to the Serengeti, arriving at the park in the early afternoon. Hailed as the pivotal safari location and home to the annual migration of over a million wildebeest, Serengeti National Park offers sights of unimaginable beauty.

  Spanning over 5700 square miles, you will see more than mere glimpses of Tanzania’s wildlife, but instead will get the opportunity to experience the daily lives of the wildlife. You are most likely to see: Lion prides, cheetahs, leopards, herds of wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, elephants, rhinos, eland, impalas, gazelles, jackals, serval cats, ostriches, and MANY MORE!

• Day 4

  Serengeti National Park

  Your second day at Serengeti National Park will give you an even greater opportunity to see the intimate moments rarely witnessed by human eyes… and spot all the members of the Big 5! Lions rearing their cubs or stalking their next meal… anything is possible in the Serengeti.

  You are most likely to see: Lion prides, cheetahs, leopards, herds of wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, elephants, rhinos, eland, impalas, gazelles, jackals, serval cats, ostriches, and MANY MORE!

• Day 5

  Travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  In the morning you will depart for Ngorongoro Crater, doing a half day game drive on your way out of Serengeti National Park. After traveling through Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will reach your overnight destination, where you will have time to relax for the evening and prepare for your final day.

• Day 6

  Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  Your final day begins early in the morning when you will descend into the large crater which has remained unchanged for thousands of years. Inside the crater is a microcosm of Tanzania’s wildlife home to most of the animal species found throughout the country.

  With the crater walls serving as a natural enclosure for the conservation area’s animals, you have the chance to spot all your favorites. You are most likely to see: Wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas, and many different species of birds!

• Day 7

  Stone Town

  In the morning you will travel to Zanzibar. You will spend four days basking in the sun and relaxing in paradise. Before hitting the white sand beaches you will have the opportunity to explore historic Stone Town. With its cobblestone streets, amazing harbor views and rich history, Stone Town is a great way to begin to experience Zanzibar. In the evening, be sure to stop by the famed Night Market in Forodhani Square where you can get all the delicious fresh seafood you can possibly eat!

• Day 8

  Zanzibar

  After breakfast, you will travel to a bungalow on the beach. You will have the opportunity to snorkel in nearby reefs, take a sunset cruise, get a massage on the beach and even swim with dolphins… it’s completely up to you!

  Optional Add-on: Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Dolphin Excursion, Sunset Cruise, etc. Add-on’s can be arranged directly with your hotel but if you have specific activities in mind, we’re happy to arrange.

• Day 9

  Zanzibar

  After breakfast, enjoy another amazing day in paradise! How you spend your day is completely up to you - relax on the beach or take advantage of any of the optional excursions offered by the hotel.*Optional Add-on: Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Dolphin Excursion, Sunset Cruise, etc. Add-on’s can be arranged directly with your hotel but if you have specific activities in mind, weÂ’re happy to arrange.

• Day 10

  Zanzibar

  After breakfast, enjoy another amazing day in paradise! How you spend your day is completely up to you - relax on the beach or take advantage of any of the optional excursions offered by the hotel.*Optional Add-on: Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Dolphin Excursion, Sunset Cruise, etc. Add-on’s can be arranged directly with your hotel but if you have specific activities in mind, weÂ’re happy to arrange.

• Day 11

  Zanzibar

  In the morning, enjoy your last breakfast in paradise. Take a last dip in the blue green waters and soak up the sun one final time before you head to the airport to return to the real world! You will be transported to the airport where, unfortunately, you’ll be heading home.
