• Day 1

  Day 1: Nairobi- Amboseli

  Our driver/guide will receive you when your flight arrives at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the morning. Safari briefing and then depart for Amboseli National Park to start your Kenya safari. Lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge followed by afternoon game drives in the park in search of herds of elephants, giraffes, lions, and a variety of other animals and birds. We have chosen Amboseli Sopa Lodge for you because it’s the only lodge that gives you the best view of the snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro at dawn.

• Day 2

  Day 2: Amboseli

  Full day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives to cover other areas of the park and in search of the wildlife you may have missed the previous day.

• Day 3

  Day 3: Amboseli–Nairobi-Masai Mara

  After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara via Nairobi. Lunch at Jacarada Hotel in Nairobi (cost included) and then continue with your journey to Masai Mara Game Reserve through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge late afternoon. If time allows, set off for game drives till sunset in search of the Big Five.

• Day 4

  Day 4-5: Masai Mara

  Spend the whole day in the Masai Mara plains doing game drives and on the look out for herds of wildebeests grazing in the Mara plains. Optional evening visits to Masai cultural village to learn their culture and dances. Each visit cost USD35 per person and you pay this directly.

• Day 6

  Day 6: Masai Mara-Lake Nakuru

  After breakfast, depart Mara for Lake Nakuru. Lunch at the Lake Nakuru Lodge followed by an extensive afternoon game drives in the park. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

• Day 7

  Day 7: Lake Nakuru-Aberdares

  After breakfast, depart or Aberdares National Park, with a brief stop at Thomsons Falls. Access to the park by private vehicles is limited to conserve and protect the environment which hosts wildlife such as elephant, rhino, buffalo, bush bucks, giant forest hogs, Sykes monkey, leopard, and bongo. Arrive at the Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch (cost included). A representative of The Ark Lodge will transfer you to their lodge. This tree-lodge is uniquely shaped to resemble the actual Ark, designed with decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for viewing the animals visiting the salt-lick and waterhole. A ground-level bunker at The Ark provides excellent photographic opportunities, and the Yasabara waterhole is floodlit by night to enable all-night viewing of game.

• Day 8

  Day 8: Aberdares-Nairobi-Depart Home

  After breakfast at your lodge, a driver of The Ark Lodge will transfer you back to The Aberdare Country Club where you’ll reconnect with your driver/guide and then depart for Nairobi through Central Kenya. Stop at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi for lunch. Later, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your international flight home.
