Arrival of your international flight into the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. You will be met by our representative out side the customs and immigration halls then transferred to a hotel. Assisted in checking in to your rooms. Overnight stay at the hotel.
hp-slide-3Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name “Nairobi” comes from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nyirobi, which translates to “the place of cool waters”. However, it is popularly known as the “Green City in the Sun” and is surrounded by several expanding villa suburbs. The largest and most populous city in East Africa, with a current estimated population of about 3 million, Nairobi started life as a railways depot in 1899.

Today, the city skyline is dominated by modern high rise buildings and is a tourism and trade hub. Nairobi is now one of the most prominent cities in Africa politically and financially. A vibrant city with a mix of races and cultures, providing the visitor with several sightseeing options such as museums, a national park, golf courses, and resorts.

  • NAIROBI – MASAI MARA

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. You will be briefed on your safari and introduced to your driver-guide. Thereafter you shall depart for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, you will check-in at a camp, followed by lunch. Depart for an afternoon game drive in the reserve until sundown. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
elephantMasai Mara offers an absolutely unique variety of animals.

The reason is that this hilly region is both humid and fertile, and is crossed by the rivers Mara and Talek, full of crocodiles and hippos, which carry water the whole year round. The banks of the rivers are covered in thick forest, which gradually makes way for bush and grassland. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons why the Masai Mara, which in fact is a continuance of the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park, has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa.

There is a particularly dramatic “spectacle” from July to November, the annual migration of huge herds of Gnus and Zebras. Predators such as Hyenas, Jackals, Leopards and Lions of course, closely follow these herds. Gigantic herds of over 200 buffaloes can also be observed. Plenty of food is available for elephants, giraffes, and the many species of antelopes.

  • MASAI MARA

On this day you will have a full day game drive in the reserve. All meals and overnight stay will be at the camp.

  • MASAI MARA – LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast, check-out and drive to Lake Naivasha, which is situated in the Great Rift Valley region. Arrive and check-in at a club. Lunch. In the afternoon you will enjoy a leisurely stay at the club, with an option to immerse yourselves in the optional activities offered here. Dinner and overnight stay.

Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. The lake and its surrounds are rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya’s prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with bird life, and Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo population sleep the day out in the shallows.

  • LAKE NAIVASHA – AMBOSELI

Breakfast at the club, check-out and depart to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in at a camp, followed by lunch. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park until sundown. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
marvels-of-kenya-02Amboseli National Park is renowned for its elephant populations and large herds, including some impressively tusked bulls which are drawn to a series of large, lush swamplands.

This area is home to many Maasai communities, centered around the park. It is 400 square kms, with its southern boundary along the Tanzanian border. Here you may have the opportunity to observe herds of wildebeest, zebra and impala graze on the open plains. There are areas of acacia forest that make for good birding and are home to many small mammals. Cheetahs are also often sighted in the park.

  • AMBOSELI – TSAVO EAST

Breakfast. Check-out then head to Tsavo East National Park. Arrive and check-in at a camp. Lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park until sunset. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay. The twin National Parks of Tsavo East and West together form one of Africa’s largest wilderness reserves. Tsavo as a whole consists of 10 million acres of pure wilderness, incorporating savannah, ranges and hills, acacia and montane forest, and an extensive river system. This single National Park is larger than the island of Jamaica.

The sheer scale of Tsavo gives the visitor a chance to really get away from it all, and to explore the wild in total solitude. On safari here you will see large herds of Elephant, their hides often a luminous red with dust, as well as Lion, Buffalo, Eland, Giraffe, Impala, Kudu, dik dik, leopard and possibly Rhinoceros.

  • TSAVO EAST – MOMBASA

Head out for an early morning game drive in the park. Return to the camp for breakfast. Check-out and depart for Mombasa. Arrive and continue onwards to the South Coast and to a resort. Check-in on an All-Inclusive basis in Standard Rooms. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach scenery.
Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Tracks-&-Hooks-6Mombasa is a place steeped in history, yet at the same time fascinating commercial and cosmopolitan port town. Mombasa is an island connected to the mainland by bridges and ferries. The town over looks a wide harbor, where commercial shipping mingles with traditional sailing dhows. The true heart of Mombasa is found in the exotic old town, among the narrow winding streets and Arab architecture. The air here is always heavy with the scent of spices. Women wearing the traditional bui bui fill the narrow streets and busy markets.

At the dhow docks fresh fish and goods from all along the coast arrive daily. The streets are alive with the bright colours of the traditional coastal khanga and kikoy, the all purpose wrap around cloth worn by both men and women. At the waters edge is Fort Jesus, an imposing fort that stands watch over the harbor.

  • MOMBASA DAY 8-11
