    Depart Home – En route to Kenya

  • NAIROBI CITY

    Welcome to Kenya, you will be met upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our safari representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your city hotel irrespective of the airline and time of arrival.

  • DAY THREE & FOUR: MERU NATIONAL PARK

    Early morning breakfast will be served followed by safari de-brief by our concierge and/or owners of DK Grand Safaris at the city hotel, thereafter you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for the morning schedule flight to Meru National Park. Arrive at lodge in time for lunch. The lodge will be your home for the next two days, Elsa’s Kopje blends into the rocky crags of the “kopje” small hill built above the site of George Adamson’s original campsite. It was quoted as “heaven for romantic” by The Daily Telegraph, February 2007.

    Spend the morning and afternoon game viewing in the park’s rocky outcrops where baboons cavort and leopards lurk among the boulders and the wide open plains with wandering riverbanks dotted with doum palm. The Park incorporates a 44km sq rhino sanctuary, home to over 40 white rhinos and around 20 black rhinos. Evening cocktails set up on the Kopje rocks.

  • DAY FIVE & SIX: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

    After breakfast, depart by road to Samburu Game Reserve which is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannas watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. Arrive at the camp which is strategically located overlooking the Uaso River in time for lunch. For the next two days, you are entitled to a morning and an afternoon game viewing in the reserve which is famous for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five’ which includes the long necked Gerenuk, the Reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, the Beisa oryx and the Somali ostrich among other wildlife and over 350 different birds species at the vast, open landscapes.

    You can combine you game viewing with an optional complimentary visit to Samburu Cultural village who are neighbors to the reserve and are famous for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life and you will have an opportunity to purchase some traditional Samburu souvenirs, art and collectibles.

    • Elephant Bedroom Camp or Similar (B.L.D)

  • MOUNT KENYA REGION

    Breakfast will be served at the camp then depart by road to the famous Mount Kenya Safari Club. The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort’s is strategically located along the equator line with a magnificent view of majestic Mount Kenya, the second-highest mountain in Africa. The club was retreat for movie star and club founder Mr. William Holden. The club’s illustrious former members have included Mr. Winston Churchill and Mr. Bing Crosby.

    It has a unique blend and combination of comfort, relaxation and adventure. You have several options recreation activities available within the club: horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, nature walks, mountain bike rides and an animal orphanage.

    • Mount Kenya Safari Club or Similar (B.L.D)

  • MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

    After breakfast at the club, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a morning scheduled flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve which is one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations, As per Abc news “Good Morning America’s show”. It’s also considered as a “must see” by almost all visitor going on safari. It is on the “to do” list for many because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds. Game viewing en-route to the camp followed by lunch. You will have some time to relax by the sun heated pool before you depart for an afternoon game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

    •  Olonana Tented Camp or Olare Kempsinski Camp (B.L.D)

  • DAY NINE & TEN: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

    You are entitled to a morning and an afternoon game viewing for the next two days in the magnificent Masai Mara Game Reserve, The reserve is regarded as the most spectacular wildlife viewing areas in Kenya with over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. You can decide in one of the two days to book an Optional balloon ride over the plans of the Masai Mara which takes you over the diverse habitats of the Masai Mara Reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah.

    The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. Surprise bush champagne breakfast is served upon landing. Afternoon game viewing has been scheduled as well on this day, or you can decide to book an Optional walking tour, viewing the animals on foot and getting closer to nature as you discover more rather than the obvious big five.

    Breakfast will be served at the camp followed by check out; you will be transferred to the airstrip with game viewing en-route for the morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. Farewell meals have been organized by our concierge team in Nairobi restaurant.  Later you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight back home
