    Depart Home – En route to Kenya

  • NAIROBI CITY

    Welcome to Kenya, you will be met upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our safari representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your city hotel irrespective of the airline and time of arrival.

  • DAY THREE & FOUR: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

    Early morning breakfast will be served at the city hotel followed by safari de-brief by our concierge and/or owners of DK Grand Safaris at the city hotel, thereafter depart by road crossing the equator line from southern to the northern hemisphere to Samburu Game Reserve which has retained its naturally serene and quiet feeling. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch which is strategically located overlooking the Uaso Nyiro River. For the next two days, you are entitled to morning and an afternoon game viewing in the reserve which is famous for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five’ which includes the long necked gerenuk, the Reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, the Beisa oryx and the Somali ostrich among other wildlife and over 350 different species of birds at the vast, open landscapes.

    You can combine you game viewing with an optional complimentary visit to Samburu cultural village whom are neighbors to the reserve and are famous for their remote culture, pastoral and nomadic way of life and you will have an opportunity to purchase some traditional Samburu souvenirs, art and collectibles.

  • DAY FIVE & SIX: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Samburu Airstrip for the morning scheduled flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve which is one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations. It’s also considered as a “must see” and it’s on the “to do” list for almost all visitor going on safari because of its spectacular wildlife with over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. You will arrive at the camp in time for lunch.

    For the next two days you are entitled to a morning and afternoon game viewings in the reserve, or you can decide to book an Optional balloon ride over the plains of the Masai Mara which takes you over the diverse habitats of the Masai Mara Reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah. The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. Surprise bush champagne breakfast is usually served on landing.

  • DAY SEVEN & EIGHT: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

    Early morning breakfast will be served at the camp, thereafter you will be transfer to Masai Mara Airstrip to connect morning schedule flight to Serengeti National Park via Migori and Tarime. The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word ‘siringet’ referring to an ‘endless plain’. You will check in at the lodge in time for lunch. For the next two days, you will be exploring the world’s best-known wildlife sanctuary and a UNESCO World Heritage Site i.e. Serengeti National Park.

    Full day, half day, morning and/or evening game viewing has been schedule for you to skirt the vast plains in search of the plain’s abundant wildlife including the big five (Lions, Elephants, Rhino, Café Buffalo).

    • Serengeti Sopa Lodge or Similar (B.L.D)

  • DAY NINE & TEN: NGORONGORO CONSERVANCY

    You will drive towards Ngorongoro Conservational Area after breakfast with game viewing and picnic lunch en-route. There will be an option visit to Olduvai Gorge en-route to the crater situated on an ancient lake covered by layers of volcanic ash, many fossil discoveries, including a skull of human ancestor. You will be arriving at the lodge late in the evening ready to refresher up and dinner. The next day after breakfast you will descent down to the crater bottom which is a unique refuge for both animals and sometimes man offering different topography ranging from the basins, swamps, springs, the rivers, plains, forest and the salt lakes.

    The crater supports a vast number of animals such as elephants, café buffalos, hyenas, lions, jackals, zebras, wildebeest and bird’s species because of the fresh water it holds. For game viewing, you are entitled to only one entry of up to six hours, later your will ascent back to the lodge for an evening at leisure.

  • DEPART

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport via Arusha Town to connect your flight to Nairobi – Kenya. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport – Nairobi, you will be met by our concierge team who has already organized for your farewell meals at the city restaurant depending on your outbound flight time. Later you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight back home.
