Arusha to Ngorongoro
After breakfast and a briefing at your Arusha hotel, you will depart on your safari to Ngorongoro. The drive is interesting with a mix of farmlands, local villages and some spectacular scenery as you drive to the Ngorongoro highlands. Stop en route to admire the views of Lake Manyara from the escarpment above, then continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Overnight at a lodge on the crater rim, and this afternoon there is an option to enjoy a walk with a local Masai guide in the area.

Ngorongoro Crater
Depart early morning and descend into the Ngorongoro crater caldera, for a morning filled with game viewing. The crater normally turns up four of the Big Five with ease, including the endangered Black Rhino. After a picnic lunch, head toward the open Serengeti plains.

Serengeti Game Viewing
Full day of game drives in the Serengeti Eco-system. About 35 species of plains animals may be seen here, including the so-called “big seven” – buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, cheetah and African hunting dog. There is also a profusion of birdlife.

Walking Safari
Begin your walking safari in the Serengeti. You will be accompanied by a trained, armed Parks guide as well as your Wild FrontiersÂ’ guide. The daily walks are not long - about 4 to 5 hours a day - and all your supplies, tents, etc are moved forward by your camp crew. You only need to carry your daily water and snacks. All meals and bottled water are supplied. Overnight in a lightweight camp which consists of 2.5m by 2.5m walk-in dome tents, mess tent, bedding and mattresses, chairs, bush toilet and shower, fridge / cool box, and camp lighting.

More exploring of the Serengeti
This morning, enjoy a final morning walk in the cool of the day. You will then meet the vehicle for your transfer back to your camp in time for lunch. Some time to relax or enjoy an optional afternoon game drive in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Farewell to the Serengeti
Transfer to Seronera airstrip for your morning scenic flight back to Arusha.
