Arrival in Uganda
Today you will arrive at Entebbe airport and you will be welcomed by your safari guide. Depending on your time of arrival, you may have an optional city tour of Entebbe town. Entebbe was the colonialists’ administrative center and has many buildings that date over half a century ago.
You may also choose to visit Entebbe botanical gardens or Uganda Wildlife Education centre (Entebbe Zoo).

Drive to Mabira Forest; zip lining and nature walk
After breakfast you will start your safari by driving through the capital Kampala and heading east to Mabira forest- the largest natural forest in the country. Here you will undertake a beautiful zip-lining experience and nature walk. The zip-line is set up on Mabira Forest Canopy and sends you soaring between the tallest trees in the rainforest.
High up in the canopy one is able to enjoy a view of the forest layers, mammals like grey cheeked mangabeys and red tailed monkeys, birds and the roaring griffin falls, making your zip a memorable day! After lunch, you will take a nature walk to further explore the forest. In the evening you will drive to your accommodation in Jinja town.

Water rafting, city tour and boat ride on the Nile
After breakfast you will assemble at the offices for initial briefing. You will be fitted out with life jackets and helmets before heading off down river to the start point. Once down at the river’s edge, you will receive a detailed safety briefing, before launching into the river for some practical instruction.
The rafting carries through meanders of the Nile through beautiful scenery and challenge points selected for an enthralling but safe adventure. After lunch you will drive to Jinja town for a city tour and boat ride to the source of the Nile. Jinja town is best known for the source of the Nile where the river starts its 4000-mile journey to the Mediterranean from Lake Victoria.

Drive to Fort Portal
The drive to Fort Portal is through verdant countryside and numerous tea plantations. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. Depending on your time of arrival, you may choose to take light walk around the town or visit the Kings palace.

Chimpanzee trekking and biking through craters
After breakfast you will embark on the search for chimpanzees in Kibale Forest national park. The park is also home for 10 other primate including l hoest monkeys, red colobus monkey, blue monkeys, red tailed and gray - cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable.
In the afternoon you will embark on a biking adventure through the beautiful crater region where you will be able to tour some of more than 20 crater lakes. You will be provided protective gear and led by an experienced biking guide.

Drive to Kasese, hike on Mount Rwenzori
You will drive to Kasese town and proceed to Nyakalengija starting point for a day’s hike on Mt. Rwenzori. The park provides opportunity for nature walks within the central circuit zone. These include trails up to Lake Mahoma and Buraro chimp forest; walks through the communities of Kichamba to reach the Karangura ridge; and hiking to Bundibugo area through Bwamba pass.
Visitors can follow the River Mubuku, and glimpse views of Baker and Portal Peaks as they hike up to 2,300m above sea level. On a clear day it is even possible to view the snowcapped Margherita Peak - a truly spectacular sight. Along the way, keep an eye out for chameleons, squirrels, vervet monkeys and many birds.

Drive to Lake Bunyonyi, visit Kitagata hotsprings
After breakfast you will start your long drive to the "Switzerland of Africa" area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads. Along the way you will visit Kitagata hot springs, a place considered to have healing properties by the natives. You will proceed to your accommodation located on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi.

Optional Gorilla Trekking and activities
Today is a day for optional activities. You may choose to do Gorilla trekking or engage yourselves in various activities on the lake or around. These include; mountain biking, Batwa visit, boat ride, school visit, zip lining across Lake Bunyonyi or a walk.The drive to Bwindi for Gorilla trekking will take 1 and a half hours.
The search for these majestic animals goes through thick untamed rainforest, where youll be scrambling over mossy rocks and through deep undergrowth and it can be arduous at times, but the encounter is worth the effort. Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is a memory that will last a lifetime. The experienced ranger guides will willingly share with you a lot of information about history and lifestyle of the Gorillas.

Island Hopping in canoes
Lake Bunyonyi region is one of the most beautiful places in Uganda. On a local dug-out canoe, you will set out to explore the beauty, secrets and people that live in the islands. You will visit 3 islands and these are some of the highlights to expect. Spectacular views and island stories, visit a traditional healer, a craftmaker, a local family, Punishment Island, a former leper colony and walks. You will be led and assisted by specialized Lake Bunyonyi guides.

Return to Entebbe and departure
Early in the morning you will conclude your safari by driving back to Enttebe and later the airport where you will take your flight back home. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs.
