Welcome & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening game drive before check in
Your guide will pick you up early in the morning. He will also provide for a briefing on your upcoming safari. Afterwards, we make our way to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through Masaka and Mbarara, which are metropolitan hubs in the western region of Uganda.
Along the way, you can admire Ankole Longhorn, a landrace breed of cattle distinguished by its horns that can reach up to 8ft from tip to tip. There will be a stopover in Mbarara for a sumptuous lunch and a glass of refreshing Nile beer for the beer lovers. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the booked accommodation and you can take a quick nap before our first game drive in the evening to kick off your safari holiday.

Morning game drives & afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National park
You will go on a morning game drive after breakfast. You will get to see tree-climbing lions found in the southern area of the park lazily lying up on the branches of the huge fig trees. Indulge at the sight of Uganda Kobs in the open Ishasha plains as well as other wildlife including elephant and cheetah roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Chimpanzee Tracking at Karinzu Forest & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park
After breakfast, we will drive to Karinzu forest for Chimpanzee tracking. Apart from these beautiful and smart creatures, the trek will also expose you to other primates such as Colobus Monkeys, Giant forest hog, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, and Olive Baboons.
Look up and feast your eyes to see over 350 bird species hovering above you. Afterwards, we will begin our journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Kigezi. Along the way, we will pass through tea plantations of Bunyaruguru and have a stopover at the exotic Kagamba Hotsprings.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi or Mgahinga National parks
Today’s adventure is the most-anticipated: Gorilla Tracking, which is one of Uganda’s safaris highlights. Rangers will provide guidelines before we commence the tour. There are 3 Gorilla families to choose from: Rushaga, Nkuringo, and the Muhavura Gorilla family. The Muhavura gorilla family is ideal for elderly people who cannot travel long distances into the park.

Vulnerable Children, Batwa experience & Lake bunyonyi
After Gorilla tracking, the Batwa experience in Karengerere follows where your guide will take you at the top of the hills to take in the great view of Lake Bunyonyi. You can also visit the underprivileged children of Mwendo. They will welcome you with utmost hospitality via a short concert or traditional dance.
The following day, you have the option to visit the Pygmy community or go on a canoe trekking. You can also swing by at the local communities and some islands including the punishment and upside island within Lake Bunyonyi. You can also revisit the school and volunteer within the local school and interact with the Ugandan children.

Transfer to Kigali or Kampala
After breakfast, we will head back to Kampala or Kigali depending on your next destination.
