Description

The Mikumi National Park near Morogoro, Tnzania, was established in 1964. It covers an area of 3230 km² hence is the fifth largest in the country. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a national park in Tanzania with a size of 1,990 km². The habitats contained within the national park include tropical rainforest, mountain forest, miombo woodland, grassland and steppe.

  • Dar Es Salaam - Mikumi National Park

    Depart Dar Es Salaam early morning to Mikumi, on arrival lunch en-route then continue with afternoon game drive in Mikumi National Park. Dinner and overnight Camp Bastian Mikumi which you can watch a procession of animals visiting the waterholes either from the comfort of your own verandah, having a cool drink at the bar or whilst dining.

  • Udzungwa Mountains National Park

    After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park for the hike into the superb primary forest to the base and then the top of the spectacular 180m Sanje Waterfall looking for primates on the way (Iringa Red Colobus and Sanje Mangeby).

    Swim in plunge pools, see endemic African Violets growing in the spray zones and have lunch in the forest on the top of the falls. Descend after enjoying superb views. Return to the camp in Mikumi National Park for dinner and overnight.

  • Mikumi National Park - Dar Es Salaam

    After breakfast, morning game drive in Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch or later drive to Morogoro for lunch then continue back to Dar Es Salaam.
