Description

The Big Southern Tour combines a great safari experience in Ruaha, Mikumi with hiking in Udzungwa mountain, ending with a swim in the Sanje waterfalls. This Tour offers something for the more adventurous traveller, letting you experience both walking safaris.

  • Depart from Dar es salaam to Udzungwa National park

    Early morning departure from your hotel in Dar es salaam to Udzungwa national park via Morogoro town for hot lunch. Proceed to Udzungwa national park for easy evening village walking at Mang’ula. Dinner and overnight will be at Hondohondo forest campsite.

  • Trekking to Sanje waterfalls in Udzungwa and drive to Iringa town

    After breakfast drive to Ruaha national for morning game drive until lunch time.16:30 proceeds with walking safari accompanied by an experienced armed ranger; here you will have the opportunity to touch the wild until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha Bandas.

  • Full day game drive in Ruaha national park with picnic lunch

    Full day game drive in Ruaha. Stirring Great Ruaha River features large numbers crocodiles and hippos and other species such as lions, impala, giraffe, zebras, elephants, GrantÂ’s gazelle, ostrich, cheetah and many others. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha Bandas.

  • Sunrise game drive in Ruaha and drive to Mikumi national park

    Early morning game viewing till sunrise then back to Ruaha bandas for breakfast and drive to Mikumi national park via Iringa town for lunch. After lunch, progress to Mikumi national parkand arrival for dinner and overnight will be at Decken campsite.

  • Sunrise game drive until lunch time and drive back to Dar es salaam

    After breakfast, game viewing in Mikumi till lunch time. After lunch drive back to Dar es salaam.
