  • Arrival at Entebbe Airport and transfer to hotel

Your adventure begins as soon as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Here you will be picked up by a driver who will then transport you to the guesthouse (a fifteen-minute drive from the airport). Here you can relax or, depending on your arrival time, spend some time exploring before settling in for a good night’s sleep.

  • Rhino tracking and Murchison Falls National Park

After your first night in Uganda it is time to begin your journey. Your first stop today will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda where you will be able to see the white rhino. The drive from Entebbe to Ziwa takes about three hours. After rhino tracking it is time for lunch and then continuing on to Murchison Falls National Park. You will stay in a very nice tented camp here on the shores of the Nile.

The next day starts early (around 0600hrs) in order for you to catch your ferry going to the Delta, an area with an abundance of wildlife. On your way to the Delta, you will have the chance to see many animals, including elephants and giraffes. After the game drive and lunch at the lodge you will go on a boat ride to the foot of the Murchison Falls.

This is a breathtaking experience and you will see countless hippos, buffalos and crocodiles along the way. The next day there will be time to relax and enjoy the pool or go for another game drive.

  • Murchison to Kibale Forest National Park

The journey from Murchison Falls to Kibale is long but beautiful. The road meanders through the greenest hills you have ever seen with truly breathtaking views. After checking in at the resort you will have time to relax and prepare for your early morning hike to the see the chimpanzees. The tracking will start early and takes about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimps.

After the trek you will go back to the resort for lunch and then visit Bigodi Swamp. This is a beautiful area in the rain forest with an abundance of animals: monkeys, birds and maybe forest elephants. After this intensive day in the forest you will go back to the resort.

  • To Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon boatsafari

Queen Elizabeth National park is your next destination. This is a huge park where wildlife and people coexist in harmony. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George.

Here you will see very many different bird species and large mammals. After the boat ride, you will have a night at the Bush Lodge, which sits on the shores of the Kazinga Channel.

  • Ishasha Sector and tree climbing lions

After an early morning game drive spent looking for lions on the Kasenyi Plains, it is time to go to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth: Ishasha. This area is famous for its tree climbing lions. When you arrive in Ishasha you will first try to spot the lions in one of the huge trees. You will spend the night next to Kigezi Game Reserve.

  • Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After another game drive in Ishasha it is time to move to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the famous mountain gorillas. Check in at Ruhija Gorilla Lodge and prepare for yet another highlight of this amazing trip: tracking mountain gorillas! Today starts early. First you will be briefed by the rangers, after which you will be appointed a group for tracking.

The tracking can take several hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. The hike itself is spectacular and takes you through dense rain forest and up steep hills. Once you have found the gorillas you will get to spend one hour with them. Then it is time to go back to the lodge and share the experience with your friends!

  • Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi is one of the highest lakes in Africa. It is also one of the only lakes around where you can swim safely. Here you will have time to relax, swim, go for a ride in a dugout canoe or just sit by the side of the pool and read a book!

For those who would like to do a village walk or visit one of the indigenous tribe, it is possible to organize a visit with the local Batwa people.

  • Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo is the smallest park in Uganda but is still full of charm! It has a very large number of zebras and a family of Rothschilds giraffe. After a night at Rwakobo rock you will go for a walking safari, where you will have the chance to get up close and personal with the wildlife.

  • Entebbe

Yur last day in Uganda will end in Entebbe, where it all began! On your way back from Lake Mburo you will stop at the equator and participate in your last activity of the trip: looking for the Shoebill stork in Mabamba Swamp. After the boat ride it is time to drive to Entebbe and check in at the guesthouse.

  • Entebbe

The majority of your day will be spent preparing for your journey back time. Depending on the time of your return flight, however, you may have some time to visit the Botanical Gardens or have a meal on the beach of Lake Victoria.
