Description

Gorilla tour in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. We drive up in the thousand hills of the northern part of the country along for up to 3 hours heading to the park before entering the jungle of Virunga mountains range where you will track down mountain gorillas for about 1-3 hours depending on their location and once you meet them you will have a maximum hour enjoying those amazing creatures and having the unforgettable photography with them.

  • Volcanoes National Park

    Wake up early in the morning, pick up from your hotel in Kigali after breakfast, drive for 2-3 hours and get at the volcanoes national park headquarters. Get briefed about Gorilla behaviors and start the trekking. Volcanoes National Park is in the magnificent Virunga Mountains, located in the Northern Province of Rwanda, on the border of Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The Virunga Mountains consist of six Volcanoes which include Karisimbi, Bisoke and Mikeno Volcanoes, and are home to the famous gorilla families and various other animals.

    Gorilla tracking takes 2-8 hours depending on the movements. A maximum time of 1 hour is allowed to do photography and admire the gorillas. Return to the base and Home Rwanda Safaris guide will drive you back to Kigali have a city tour, drop off at a place of your choice in Kigali or at the airport.End of the tour.
