Kigali-Akagera National Park
Pick up from the lodge or airport and transfer to Akagera National Park. Akagera Founded in 1934 to protect animals and vegetation, The park is the largest protected wetland in Africa. It was named after the Akagera River which flows along its eastern boundary.
The park used to cover over 2,500 sq. km but in 1997, it was reduced in size by close to 50%.It is a home to large herds of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, elephants, dozens of antelopes, most commonly the handsome impala, but also oribi and bushbuck, as well as the topi. Leopard and hyena might be seen on a night drive. For hippos and crocodiles can be spot while on a boat trip on Lake Ihema. It is a home to about 525 species of birds. Have a drive by crossing starting from south to the north or crossing depending on where animals are.

Wake up for breakfast in Akagera game lodge and after have a boat drive for couple hours enjoying the lake and then drive back to Kigali. End of the trip.End of tour
