Description

This 2-day tour will take you to learn about the Rwandan genocide, also known as the genocide against the Tutsi, a mass slaughter of the Tutsi tribe in Rwanda by members of the Hutu majority government. You will tour the Gisozi Memorial site where hundreds of thousands of the genocide victims were buried. You will have time to visit families impacted by this tragedy and listen to their testimonies.

  • Kigali

    A member of the Home Rwanda Safaris staff will meet you at the airport or your hotel and brief you on your 2-day tour. After the briefing you will drive to the Kigali Genocide Memorial site where you will spend time learning by professional site staff about the genocide. After the tour you will drive to a family that was affected by this tragedy and then visit a womenÂ’s cooperative. Later in the afternoon you will drive back to your hotel for lunch and then take part in a Kigali City tour. Later in the evening you will drive back to the Hill Top Hotel for dinner and your overnight stay.

  • Kigali

    After breakfast you will check-out and embark on another city tour, passing through the souvenirs shops and arts galleries for you to browse and make a purchase. After these interesting shops you will drive to Kigali to be dropped off at the airport or your hotel depending on your preference. This is where your safari will end.End of tour
