Description

The Tour will take you to Akagera National park home of wild mammals, big five and varieties of bird species. We will have a day game drive crossing the park as well as sight seeing the amazing animals along the way, after this Savannah experience we will drive to Nyungwe National park, the only African mountain rain forest home to many species of chimpanzees, colobus monkeys. The Canopy Walkway, is a high suspension bridge with views over the valley and surrounding forests.

  • Kigali-Akagera national park

    Wake up early in the morning, meet our driver guide, greet and briefing about the Tour. Then drive to Akagera national park.We will have a day drive crossing the hole park from south to the north seeing the animals around, The park is characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and Savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles. Have packed lunch from Akagera Game Lodge Hotel inside the park, and the we will relax and sleep in the park.

  • Kigali-Nyungwe National Park

    Wake up early in morning, after breakfast drive to lake, we will have a boat ride in the lake Ihema inside Akagera park and after drive to kigali-Nyungwe, along the way we will pass to Nyanza Kings palace for the traditional experience of ancients Rwandan. We will drive and have lunch in Butare town an historical town, then drive to Nyungwe forest in the afternoon, check in at the guest house.

    We will have an experience of the local community around the park by visiting one of the cultural village in Gisakura and be back for dinner and sleep.

  • Nyungwe chimps trek-Return to Kigali

    Wake up early in the morning, get your packed breakfast and head to the park reception. Meet the guide and get the briefing about the chimpanzees tracking then drive to a small fragmented forest where the group of chimpanzees located, we will have 3 hours maximum tracking and being with the chimps and afterwards drive back to the hotel for check out and head back to Kigali, by passing to the lake Kivu.

    We will have about 30 minutes enjoying the lake Kivu having pictures and short boat ride then drive to Kigali at your hotel or at the airport.End of Tour.
