• Day 1

  Kigali-Arrival

  You will be welcomed by a representative of Home Rwanda Safaris who will transfer you to your hotel in Kigali. Take a rest, then after lunch enjoy a city Tour with stops at the genocide memorial sites, presidential palace, historical museum and other places of interest. After you will be driven back for dinner and overnight at the best Tourists spot(Discover Rwanda).

• Day 2

  Kigali-Volcanoes National Park

  After early breakfast, drive to the park for a briefing on the golden monkey sanctuary. The whole day is dedicated to trekking and tracking, as its unpredictable how many hours it may take to reach a group of monkeys. Its advisable to carry packed lunch, which can be arranged with your hotel the night before. For conservation purposes, time spent with the monkeys is only one hour and it is advisable to carry only non-flash cameras. After seeing the golden monkeys, return to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

• Day 3

  Akagera National Park

  You will get to drive to Akagera National Park for an afternoon or evening game drive, where you may see many night birds and animals. After this, check in for dinner and overnight at the campsite. Akagera characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork.

• Day 4

  Akagera-Nyungwe National Park

  After an early breakfast you go for a morning game drive for a close encounter with animals such as zebras, several antelope species and giraffes. Later drive out of the park, stopping for lunch at Kigali town and continuing to Nyungwe Forest. Its a vast area of mountain rainforest, home to many species of chimpanzees, plus owl-faced and colobus monkeys.

  The Canopy Walkway, part of the Igishigishigi Trail, is a high suspension bridge with views over the valley and surrounding forests. A trail runs to the Kamiranzovu Marsh, with its birdlife, orchids and waterfall. Therefore a night walk this evening in search of the shy forest dwellers is rewarding and worthwhile. Dinner and overnight at the Guest house.

• Day 5

  Nyungwe National Park

  Wake up early in the morning, get your packed breakfast and head to the park reception. Meet the guide and get the briefing about the chimpanzees tracking then drive to a small fragmented forest where the group of chimpanzees located, we will have 3 hours maximum tracking and being with the chimpanzees. And depending on the fitness we will have to make a canopy walk way in the afternoon. And drive back to the guest house.

• Day 6

  Kigali-Departure

  Depending on your flight time, have an early morning breakfast before leaving for Kigali airport. If departure is later, we can visit the craft villages and shop around at other places with the help of the driver/ guide and we will have a time to go in shopping malls for souvenirs in Kigali. Leave for the airport in plenty of time for your flight.End of Tour
