A 1 day Rwanda gorilla tour is a short safari which offers you opportunity to explore the gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park, northwest of Rwanda. Volcanoes National Park is one of the 4 national parks in the world where you can track mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. About 10 gorilla families have been habituated and are tracked every day. Your one day gorilla tour starts and ends in Kigali.

    Get up early in the morning and have breakfast. After, head to Volcanoes National Park for the long awaited primate adventure and en-route, enjoy the beautiful sceneries. You will spend about 2 to 3 hours’ driving from Kigali to the park and you will join the rest of the visitors for morning briefing on dos and don’ts for gorilla trekking in the park. You will be assigned to only one habituated group to trek in a group of 8 visitors and a park guide who will take you through the entire trekking process.

    Besides trekking to see the gorillas, you also have a chance to explore most of the plants, primates and bird species that call this park their home. The trek involves hiking through the dense vegetation, steep slopes and you need to be physically well to complete the entire tracking process. On getting your assigned gorilla troop, you have one hour of magical encounter with these dramatic creatures, take as many photos as you can. After, walk back ready to drive back to Kigali.
