Description

A 7 day Uganda Rwanda safari adventure will commence and end in Kigali. It takes you through gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda and Rwanda respectively. This primate safari allows you to trek gorillas twice which will help you make significant comparison between the experiences.


  • Departure to Volcanoes National Park

    Early in the morning when you are done with breakfast, head to Volcanoes National Park about 2 to 3 hours’ drive. On arrival, check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (Luxury), Kinigi Guest House (Basic) or Le Bambou Gorillas Lodge (Moderate).

  • Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

    Have breakfast at the lodge and then join other trekkers at Kinigi for briefing on how you are to behave while in the forest. Volcanoes National Park comprises of 10 habituated gorilla families and only one will be assigned to you to track. Additionally, enjoy views of some birds, several primates, mammals and others. Later, walk back to the lodge to have a rest, dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

  • Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

    Have breakfast and then embark on journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, one of Uganda’s most splendid tropical rain forest national parks. It is known for 400 mountain gorillas. You will spend a night at Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury); Silverback Lodge/Nkuringo Gorilla Camp (moderate); Ruhija Gorilla Friends Camp, Gorilla Valley Lodge, Rushaga Gorilla Camp (budget).

  • Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

    Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and later, gather at your respective tracking area for briefing on rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. The park also inhabits about 120 mammal species, 200 trees, 350 birds, 51 reptiles, 310 butterflies and others. The trek lasts for 2 to 8 hours depending on your physical fitness, location of gorilla family and nature of the habitat. Later, spend a night at Buhoma Lodge.

  • Departure to Kibale Forest National Park

    Have breakfast early in the morning and later, drive to Kibale National Park the popular capital of primates in East Africa. On arrival at the park, check in at Primate Lodge, Ndali Lodge, Kyaninga Lodge (luxury)/Chimpanzee Forest Guest house, Kibale Forest Camp your overnight stay.

  • Do chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park

    Have breakfast early in the morning and after, gather at Kanyanchu visitor center for briefing by park official. You will be grouped into 6 visitors. Also enjoy other primates, birds, butterflies, plants and others in addition to chimpanzee trekking. Later, walk back to the lodge for lunch and later set off to Bigodi Wetland to explore more primates and birds.

  • Return to Kigali

    Have breakfast early in the morning and later, embark on journey to Kigali take a flight back home and this will mark the end of your seven day safari.
