Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park - Maasai Boma
You will be picked-up from the airport and depart Arusha heading for Lake Manyara National Park. After check- in at your Africa Safari Glamping site you will spend the afternoon visiting Maasai Boma for an authentic glimpse into the distinctive Maasai culture. The preservation of their proud traditions has set the Maasai apart from other indigenous groups in Tanzania and embodies a side of Africa with which few outsiders can contact. Maasai expeditions will offer visitors a memorable interactive experience with the Maasai way of life. You will be able to participate in a variety of unique cultural activities. Later in the evening you will return to your campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro National Park
After an early breakfast you will head to the Ngorongoro Crater. This breathtakingly setting is the best place, in Tanzania, to see the “Big Five”. The Crater is one of the worlds largest intact volcanic calderas and home to the highest density of big game in Africa. Ngorongoro is justifiably one of the continents most famous safari destinations and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai tribe. You will spend the entire day in the crater, enjoy a picnic lunch at a specified site and later in the evening ascend back up the crater to return to your campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast you will take off on an unforgettable safari experience in a hot air balloon! Gliding across the Tarangire as the sunrise stains the plains, being drifted by the prevailing winds, no two balloon safaris are alike. You will rise high enough to see golden grasslands and silver ribbons of the Tarangire River and its tributaries where wildlife congregate in the hundreds. You will view large herds of elephant with their suede grey skin offsetting white scimitar tusks as they look up at you from their shelter of scrubby acacia woodlands. In the distance, the blue outline of the African Rift Valley Escarpment can be seen. You may drift over dotted knolls of giant termite mounds with their black shadows elongated in the morning light. Imagine sharing the sky with a Verreaux Eagle Owl and its four foot wingspan as you float over a grove of baobab. What an amazing day. After you land you will return to your campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Lake Manyara Canoeing
After breakfast you will take off with a picnic lunch to enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour long canoe safari on Lake Manyara; an unprecedented experience of waterside game viewing. From the safe shallow waters of this beautiful soda lake, you will paddle silently along the shoreline in a two-man canoe. Drifting past buffalo, giraffe and elephant on the banks and walloping hippo and fabulous aquatic bird life in the water, this is an unusual and memorable safari perspective. In the evening you will return to the campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Lake Manyara - Lake Natron - Serengeti National Park
You will rise early, check-out and head to Lake Natron, one of the most serene lakes in Africa. The journey takes you through untrammeled Maasai land with small bomas and big mountains often in view amid a wild and cauterized landscape. You will enjoy lunch along the way. From June to November, you will see upwards of three million flamingos gathering along the shoreline; one of East Africas most stirring wildlife spectacles. Close to the southern end of the lake the views of the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano are spectacular. The alkaline water in Lake Natron has a pH so caustic that it can burn the skin and eyes of animals that arent adapted to it. After this visit you will continue on to the Serengeti National Park to settle in at the Mapito Tented Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast your entire day will be spent in The Serengeti National Park; one of those very rare places that has a huge reputation, yet still somehow manages to surpass expectations and take your breath away. Vast herds of grazers, huge prides of lion, spectacular expanses of uninterrupted views, wildebeest river crossings, great leopard sightings, fantastic vast cheetah inhabited plains will fill your day. Surrounded by remarkable tribes such as the Maasai and Hadzabe, this wider area is also fascinating from a cultural perspective. The predator viewing in the park is exceptional with thousands of lion and huge numbers of cheetah, leopard and hyena. At the end of the day you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park - Arusha
After breakfast you will take off on a walking safari, completely different from a game drive. Being on foot brings about a totally new way of understanding the environment and heightens your senses. On your walking safari you will be expertly guided through the bush for an up-close and personal experience. After this walking safari you will head back to Arusha where you will check-in at the lodge, have dinner and settle in for the night.

Arusha – Zanzibar
After breakfast you will check-out and be picked you up from the hotel and driven to the airport for a flight to Zanzibar Once you touch down at the Zanzibar airport you will be transported to the Paradise-Wilderness Resort. Zanzibar is completely different from the continental part of Tanzania because of its history; with long years under the rule of Oman who left a mark in the culture of this place. The islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago are famous for their idyllic tropical beaches and are known as the “Spice Islands” for the exotic spices grown here. Yo will visit the spice plantations to smell, see and taste the brightly colored and aromatic spices, such as turmeric, ginger, black pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. You will later go to the Paradise Wilderness Resort for dinner and your overnight stay.

Zanzibar
After breakfast you will take the Stone Town City Tour around the historical culture and architecture. Your Tour also includes a visit to a former slave market site that now stands as an Anglican church built in 1871, the town market, Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883, Old Arab Fort, Palace Museum, Old Indian dispensary/Cultural Center and the Maruhubi Palace Ruins and Living Stone House. After lunch you will take a Jozani Forest Tour where you will see red Colobus Monkeys. Later in the evening you will drive back to the resort for dinner and your overnight stay.

Prison Island Boat Tour
You will rise, have breakfast and enjoy some leisure time around the resort. After lunch you will take a trip to Prison Island Boat, home of the Aldabra Giant Tortoises. Prison Island lies about 30 min by boat from Stone Town. The Aldabra Giant Tortoise sanctuary is a major Tourist lure and of the oldest tortoise at 192 years old. The turtles are not indigenous and are magisterial creatures with some as old as over 100 years (4 turtles are 150 years). You can feed them for a fee paid at the Island, but watch out for their snapping beaks. While on the island you will also have time to swim, snorkel and sunbathe. Later in the day you will return to the resort for dinner and your overnight stay.

Spice Tour
After breakfast you will head out on the Spice Tour. On this Tour you will see and taste the tropical fruits, spices, and visit the plantation or plots on the island. A variety of spice plants used ornamentally and medicinally, as well as flowers, fruits and other interesting flora can be seen during the Tour. You will also visit Kidichi Bath, built in 1850 by the first Sultan. He built it for his wife Sheharzad, granddaughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia. In the evening you will return to the resort for dinner and your overnight stay.

Safari Blue
After breakfast your day will be full of amazing experiences. You will visit Menai Bay, under the sail flapping in the wind, among scattered islets and unspoiled sea life in turquoise, crystal clear waters. The Tour includes diving in the warm Indian Ocean and experiencing the diverse marine fauna and enjoying the tropical sun on the white beaches. Menai Bay is a protected marine sanctuary for bottlenose dolphin and where they are visible to visitors on 90% of the trips. You will have lunch in the restaurant on the island of Kwale; you destination port of this trip. Delicious freshly grilled seafood dishes are served. On the beaches of Kwale you can relax and bask in the sun under the Zanzibar sky. It is also a great place to explore the boughs of the ancient baobab trees, walk along the beach, admire the coral formations and observe hermit crabs. In the late afternoon you will return to the resort for dinner and your overnight stay.

Zanzibar Beach
After breakfast you have the day to chillout on the white sands beaches of Zanzibar. Zanzibar Island is a jewel in the ocean surrounded by beaches that rate among the finest in the world. Here you can swim, snorkel or just lounge the hours away, while shoals of luminous fish graze over nearby coral gardens and pods of dolphins frolic offshore. Lunch and dinner at the resort are offered. Later in the evening you will turn in for the night.

Flight back to Arusha
After breakfast you will check-out and be driven to the airport for your flight to Arusha. Depending on your further plans, we can arrange accommodations or transport to your next destination. This is where your safari will end.
