Dar Es Salaam - Selous
Start 5.30 am from hotel, Dar Es Salaam and drive to the Selous Game Reserve. After reaching Selous GR start afternoon boat trip. Usually the afternoon boat trip leaves camp at 4pm and returns at 6. 30 pm. Its an ideal trip if you would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful birdlife. The sunset can also be stunning from the boat. There is nothing quite like the serenity of the river while the sun dips below the horizon. The Rufiji is a large wide river with several lakes branching off it for you to explore, gaining a unique view of the rivers largest inhabitants: crocodiles and hippos. Boat Safaris are also the best excursions for bird enthusiasts. The Selous has over 350 bird species, and the river is the place where they congregate in great numbers and are easily seen in the open environment. You might also want to try your luck with the ferocious tiger fish, and weighty catfish that live in the waters in abundance.

Selous full day game drive
The day will be spent on game viewing in the Game Reserve. The safari guide points out rare species of animals like the Wild Dogs. Sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile Crocodile, hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji river, Cape buffalo, hartebeest and Eland. Picnic lunches and drinks will be served in the wilderness before heading back to camp for dinner and overnight to the gentle grunting of Zarafa tent Camp.

Selous – Dar Es Salaam
Earl Morning breakfast at the camp and start a guided walking sunrise safari in the Selous Game Reserve. The armed ranger guide will be leading you to areas along the banks of the River to have a close up experience with Wild animals. You see Cape Buffalo, Nile Crocodile, elephants and schools of hippo. Later proceed driving to Dar Es Salaam to Hotel.
