Dar Es Salaam - Selous National Park
You will depart Dar es Salaam and drive to the Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival you will take a boat trip that will allow you to enjoy the beautiful Rufiji River with its many hippo, crocodile, and birdlife. The sunset views are stunning sight from the boat. There is nothing quite like the serenity of the river while the sun dips below the horizon. This large wide river has several lakes branching off to explore, gaining a unique view of the wildlife. Boat safaris are also the best excursion for bird enthusiasts. The reserve has a variety of bird species and the river is the place where the birds congregate in large numbers. You might also want to try your luck searching for the ferocious tiger fish and weighty catfish that live in the river. Later in the day you will take part in a game drive with a picnic lunch packed for you to enjoy along the way. Later in the evening you will check in at the Zarafa Tented Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Selous Game Reserve
After an early breakfast you will take off for a day long game drive in the reserve. Your safari guide will point out rare species of animals like the wild dog, antelope, black rhinoceros, buffalo, hartebeest and eland. You will also see crocodile, and hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji River. Picnic lunches and drinks will be served in the wilderness during your drive. The Selous Game Reserve is a majestic place where you will see wildlife and landscapes; offering one of the most diverse range of activities available in any natural wildlife park in the world. Experiment with the different perspectives available to you by either driving, boating, walking, fishing or fly camping. The choice is yours and we cant wait to show it all to you. Later in the evening you will head back to camp for a candle lit dinner and your overnight stay.

Selous Game Reserve – Mikumi National Park
After an early morning breakfast you will take a guided walking safari in the Selous Game Reserve. Your armed ranger/guide will be leading you to areas along the banks of the river to have a close up experiences with the wild animals. You will see buffalo, crocodile, elephant and hippo. After the guided walk you will enjoy a boat trip down river, sailing through hippo, crocodiles, other wildlife and a variety of birds. The wildlife would be coming to the banks for their morning drinks at the waterhole. Later in the afternoon you will return to camp, check-out and then make your way to Mikumi National Park where you will check-in at Camp Bastian for dinner and your overnight stay.

Mikumi National Park
After breakfast you will spend your entire day in Mikumi National Park, one of TanzaniaÂ’s largest parks with a packed lunch to enjoy along the drive. Today you will see a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephant. Close to the water holes you will see lion, leopard and hippo. The park is also inhabited with zebra, wild dog, python, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope. Several observation towers provide you with an overview of the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly Miombo woodland with gently rolling hills. After your day long game drive you will head back to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Mikumi National Park - Udzungwa Mountains National Park
After an early breakfast you will check out and travel to the Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Your first activity will be a walking Tour enjoying the parks stunning natural beauty while you explore the Sanje Waterfall and view the endemic Red Colobus Monkey. This visit to the falls is an experience you will never forget! Stand at the base of the waterfall or jump through one of the smaller falls into a plunge pool for a swim. At the top of the falls you can watch the spectacular sunrise over the Kilombero Valley while sitting on the rocks in the middle of the pools. Monkeys are everywhere during the hike and endemic African Violets grow on the rocks in the spray zone behind the second waterfall. The top of the fall, above sea level, is just starting to enter the elfin sub-montane forest festooned with mosses and lichens. This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Tanzania. Later in the day you will travel to the Hondo Hondo Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Udzungwa National Park - Dar es Salaam
After an early morning breakfast you will have some time to take in your surroundings and then check-out and head back to Dar Es Salaam for your journey home. This is where your safari will end.
