Description

This safari takes you to the most famous national parks where you will have a chance to track the primates in Uganda. These include; Bwindi Impenetrable national Park for Gorillas, Kibale national park for Chimps and Queen Elizabeth National Park for Wildlife Viewing.

  • Arrival At Entebbe International Airport

Cassia Lodge Mid-range lodge located in or near Entebbe

  • Transfer To Kibale National Park

Have breakfast at the lodge and after the guide will brief you fully about the safari and after you will start your drive to Kibale National park and have numerous stop overs for some photos and experiments. You will have lunch er-route and then proceed to the park where you will have an overnight and dinner.

  • Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast and head for briefing about the chimp tracking activity. Chimpanzees are man’s closest cousins though they are one of the most threatened primate species.

More primates like Black and white Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheeked Mangabey, Red tailed monkeys, bush babies, pottos and many bird species like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, Little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle, black bee eater and mammals like Elephants can be seen in this walk. After, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and relax on arrival.

  • Game drive & a boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have a game drive in the northern part of the park on the Kasenyi Track in search of lions, elephants, solitary buffaloes. This is the best time for opportunities of viewing the cats in action owing to the vast population of Uganda Kobs. We have an excellent chance to view just about every animal here at very close range. Return to the lodge for your breakfast, before heading out for a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel.

This gives you the opportunity to view wildlife up close: hippo’s huff and spray at a mere feet away from the boat, buffalo linger in the shallows. The shores of the channel are also home to an array of birds including pink backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork and many others.

  • Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Have breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable national park, this journey is so interesting as you get to enjoy the scenic view of the highlands of the great Kigezi region. Arrive in the evening and then check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable National Park

Have an early morning breakfast, and after proceed to the park headquarters to have a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. The rangers will then accompany you to the thick rainforest to start your search for the gentle giants. Trekkers are always advised to carry their rain coats and boots because the weather there is always unpredictable. There are also some potters who always help with the carrying of the luggage on behalf of the visitors but at a small extra cost.

It’s always not easy to predict how long gorilla tracking will take and this also depends on the location of some families since some of them are far from the park headquarters. However, it always takes 2 to 7 hours to come into contact with them and the rangers will always be there to guide you. Trackers are also advisable to be physically fit before going for tracking. After your trek, go back at the lodge and have a late lunch(or opt for parked lunch).

  • Transfer back to Entebbe Airport

Have breakfast and you will be transferred to Entebbe arriving in the evening, the guide will either drop you at the airport or at your hotel depending on your departure time.
