Kidepo Valley National Park is undisturbed by human activities; lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, cape Buffalo, ostrich. Murchison falls National Park is the largest park in Uganda; offering a wide variety of habitats, Budongo forest offers chimpanzees, baboons, monkeys, birds; the vast savanna offers, lions, johnsons hartebeest, antelopes, lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffe; the wonderful boat ride to the foot of the falls brings hippos and crocodiles.


  • Transfer and Rhino sanctuary

    Meet your safari guide and leave Entebbe/Kampala in the morning for your safari to Kidepo Valley National Park and Murchison Falls National Park. The target for the day is Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where Ugandas rhinos are protected. We drive for about 176 km (100 miles) north of Kampala on the Gulu highway towards Murchison Falls and branch off at Nakitoma trading centre to Ziwa is the only place where you will be able to see rhinos in the wild.

    We arrive for lunch in the sanctuary before having a walk to see the rhinos up-close. Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch is located in Nakasongola district and is the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda. The Rhino re-introduction project is a project of Rhino Fund Uganda and Uganda Wildlife Authority; the sanctuary is home to fifteen (15) southern white rhinos. The sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists; for rhino trekking, bird watching, nature walks and relaxation We spend the night Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.

  • Transfer to Kitgum

    After breakfast you set off towards Kitgum the last town in Northern Uganda towards the Uganda and South Sudan border. You will traverse savanna grasslands and cross river Kafu where you should never forget to ask about a certain type of roasted cassava. The safari party enters Kiryandongo and Masindi district where the road goes through the vast Murchison falls National Park, baboons line the roadside in Budongo forest and walk among the people; we see the white waters of Karuma falls where a power dam is under construction.

    We cross the Karuma iron bridge that separates Bunyoro from Acholiland Nwoya district and arrive in Gulu town, a relatively modern busy town and relax for a moment. The safari party goes through shear nut forests that dot the very flat savanna till Gulu town, the largest town in northern Uganda. The safari party heads towards Acholibur junction north to Kitgum. The night is spent under the vast starry sky of Kitgum.

  • Arrive to Kidepo Valley National Park

    After breakfast you make the last part of the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. The journey to the park in this remote of Uganda continues to lead you through very flat land. You go through villages, women carry their babies on their backs and loads of food of their heads; occasionally you meet a skilled woman rider baby strapped on her back.

    The safari party arrives at the park is known as one of the last untouched wildernesses in Africa. You will reach the park in time for a game-drive and then get to the lodge for lunch. After some relaxation you head out for a evening game-drive and have the chance of seeing for example giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions and leopards. Ostriches and Cheetahs can also be seen in this vast park, spectacular rock outcrops break the see of grass to add to the drama. Overnight at Apoka hostel bandas.

  • Kidepo valley National Park

    Get up early to enjoy a morning game-drive in the area of the Kanangorok hot springs. If you are lucky you can see ostriches in this area. After lunch it is time for a cultural experience visiting a Karamojong village. See how the locals live and learn about their culture. Overnight at Apoka hostel bandas.

  • Transfer to Gulu

    We leave the beautiful Kidepo Valley National Park retracing our journey through Kitgum, it will be an interesting day in the car as you are travelling through the remotest parts of Uganda, see villages and nature passing by the window. Spend the night in Gulu Ugandas second biggest town. Overnight Boma hotel.

  • To Murchison Falls National Park

    After breakfast you set off for the game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, you look for lions which are some of the most elusive animals - hope we succeed - you know every true hunter must hide, elephants and giraffes amaze the safari party all around. Be there around lunch time. When you have finished your lunch it is time to experience the top of the falls. It is an amazing feeling to stand there enjoying the view and hearing the water roar. Have a relaxed evening at the lodge. Overnight Red Chilli rest camp.

  • Game-drive and boat-cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

    Get up early in the morning to meet the animals of the savanna. During this morning game-drive you can see giraffes, elephants, lions and more. In the afternoon it is time for a boat-cruise on the mighty Nile spotting for example hippos, crocodiles and birds on the shores. Spend the night in Budongo forest (a part of Murchison Falls) to get close to the jungle. Overnight Budongo Eco Lodge.

  • Chimps trekking and transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe

    Be woken up by the sounds of the jungle. After breakfast you set off to the fascinating forest to trek for chimps. You will be surrounded by beautiful views and finally reach the point where the chimpanzees live. When you are back from the trek your guide meets you and starts the drive back to Kampala/Entebbe.
