Description

This Tour will start and end in Nairobi, Kenya; it will cover the most attractive places in Africa and the world at large like Maasai Mara Game park in Kenya. Maasai Mara is home to the migration of the wildebeest. You will also see the Serengeti in Tanzania and Gorillas in Uganda.

  • Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve

You will wake up for morning breakfast, and thereafter drive via Narok town to Maasai Mara National reserve, the land of the Maasai tribe. The proud young Maasai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears will challenge your curiosity. The 700-square-mile game reserve is the Africa of your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. Check in to your camp and have a 12.30pm lunch in the campsite.

There will be time to settle in before your first game drive. At 4.00pm the afternoon game drive begins in the reserve. You will return to the lodge before dark. Dinner is at 7.30pm in the campsite. Overnight accommodations are at Mara Sidai Tented camp LDB.

  • Masai Mara National Reserve

Today there will be a possibility to take an optional hot air balloon ride (costs excluded). “Take to the skies for the ultimate Masai Mara wildlife adventure, soaring in a hot air balloon over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You’ll ascend in the early morning, when winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the balloon with hot air. Slowly the big, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape. After your incredible flight, it’s time to come back down to earth for breakfast.

You might wonder what all the ordinary people are doing on this perfect African morning! Before leaving, the pilot will present you with your balloon flight certificate, and then you’ll enjoy a game drive en route back to the camp. No flight of the imagination can match this airborne experience! If you dont opt for the balloon ride, you will enjoy a full day uninterrupted game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sidai Tented Camp.

  • Masai Mara-Lake Naivasha

You will have a full buffet breakfast in the camp, and then check out. Drive to Lake Naivasha where you will have your lunch en route. After lunch in Mt Long’onot transit hotel you will go on with the drive to Hells Gate National Park where you will see most of the structures which were formed due to volcanic activities like hot, cold, warm springs. You will arrive in the camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Carnelley’s Camp.

  • Green Crater Lake

Breakfast will be at 7.00 am and you will be picked up by our driver guide at 8.00am. The road to the Green Crater Lake takes you out of Naivasha and along a rough and bumpy road down by the edge of Lake Naivasha, passing by huge greenhouses where roses and other flowers are grown for the export market. You will arrive at the Green Crater Lake at 9.30am approx and you will begin your morning game walk. The Green Crater Lake was formed by volcanic activity. The group will walk in a reserve where it’s possible to get up close to Giraffe and many varieties of antelope.

It’s a great opportunity for photos. The guides will answer questions about the animals, bird life etc and point out the rocks formed due to the volcanic activity. At 12.00pm you will leave for lunch at ‘Carnelley’s Camp’ about 20 minutes back down the road toward Naivasha town. In the afternoon you will enjoy some optional activities like cycling around the village or hire a small power boat for a trip out onto the lake.

  • Lake Naivasha

Today, you may visit Elsamere, the home of the late Joy and George Adamson, just a few kms away. Joy is famous for her book Born Free and was an artist of some note. For an entry fee of Kshs 1000 per pax (approx USD$10) they get to visit the small museum, watch a documentary video of their life, and then sit in the lovely gardens beside the lake and enjoy an afternoon tea of beautiful cakes, scones, slices, tea, and coffee. Elsamere opens at 3.30pm and I recommend including this option. It will take about 2 hours. Dinner and overnight accomodation are at Carnelley’s Camp.

  • Lake Naivasha

After breakfast you will have an option of visiting Hells Gate National Park for bird watching and a game viewing walk. You will also have an option of visiting Crescent Island. Other activities include boat rides, horse riding, and camel rides; all will be at an extra charge. Dinner and overnight accommodation are at Carnelleys Camp.

  • Lake Naivasha-Lake Bogoria -Bungoma

Today you will wake up in the morning for your early breakfast and you will have your morning village walk in the nature and you will meet the Turgen tribe, one of the smallest tribes in Kenya. You will see the lake Bogoria which is famous for its springs like hot, warm, cold geysers from the underground form due to volcanic activities. You will have your picnic lunch with you and you will accompany yourself with eggs to do real practical at the hot geysers on how hot are they.

  • Bungoma-Kampala

After breakfast, we will transfer to the Malaba border, then drive to the capital city of Kampala, and spend some time strolling around the city, looking at craft markets, and getting to know the locals. You will enjoy dinner and overnight at Holiday Express Hotel.

  • Kampala-Kabale/Lake Bunyonyi

After morning breakfast you will drive down to Kabale Ugandas highest town (2000 m), with beautiful, lush scenery along the way. We will camp at Lake Bunyonyi, Africas deepest crater lake (900 m). Bunyonyi means "place of little birds", so you can expect to view interesting and unique bird-life. This is an excellent resting point before the gorilla trek.

  • Kabale/Lake Bunyonyi

Today you will wake up for your breakfast after which you will take a guided walk to visit the locals in the community. You will have an option to visit the Batwa community or go canoeing on lake. Return back to the camp for your lunch. After lunch you will be free to visit orphanage children in the area village.

  • Gorilla trekking

Enjoy a beautiful drive over the mountains, as we transfer to our base in Kisoro, on the southwestern tip of Uganda. Enjoy a relaxing evening as we prepare for the trek ahead. Today we embark on the experience of a lifetime. Trek through the early morning mist in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to roughly half of the worlds remaining 700 mountain gorillas. The trekking can be demanding and last the day long. A water bottle and good walking shoes or boots are highly recommended.

Experienced local guides will lead us through the thick mountain jungle. Once we locate the gorillas, we will stay and observe them for about an hour - this time is strictly governed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Photography is permitted (although not the use of flash, and there are restrictions to the use of video cameras), but with or without a camera, this is one of the most breathtaking and emotional experiences Africa can offer, and certainly one that will remain with you long after your journey.

  • Kabale-Kampala

Today after your breakfast you will be transferred back to Kampala with lunch en route. You will arrive in the city in the evening. After checking in your hotel you will have time to enjoy some of the nightlife this city has to offer. There after returning to the hotel for your overnight.

  • Kampala -Jinja

After an early morning, our guide will drive you from Kampala to Jinja town; East Africa’s adventure capital and home to the source the of the Nile; WorldÂ’s longest river. Have lunch and proceed to Jinja driving directly to the the source of the Nile where youÂ’ll do a sunset cruise in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Hotel.

  • Jinja-Lake Naivasha

After breakfast we will leave the hotel and depart Jinja for Lake Naivasha. We will arrive in the afternoon and check in to your camp. You will have free time to relax after a long trip. You will later enjoy your dinner and overnight at Carnelleys Camp.

  • Lake Naivasha-Nairobi

You will wake up for your breakfast in the morning. After breakfast you will set out to depart for Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home or to your hotel. Tour ends in the afternoon.
