• Day 1

  Arrival to Tanzania

  Today you will arrive in Tanzania. A representative of Kilidove Tours and Safaris will be waiting for you at Kilimanjaro International Airport holding a placard under your name and will bring you to Arusha in about 45 minutes where you spend your first night.

• Day 2

  Maasai Cultural Tour in the bush

  Spectacular day to start your experience in the bush with the Maasai! Today is going to be a relaxing day where you can start up your safari with enjoying the accommodation and a walk with a Maasai guide. The lodge is located just 90minutes from Arusha. Once arrived at the tented camp you can settle in and enjoy a fresh prepared lunch.

  After lunch a Maasai guide will take you for a walk to the stunning Lake Manyara where you can enjoy some great views, lots of wildlife and birds species. An amazing way to enjoy your memorable honeymoon!

• Day 3

  Tarangire National Park

  After breakfast from your accommodation you depart to Tarangire National Park, referred to as home of elephants this magnificent area is characterized by rolling country, the gorge (a deeply embedded river) which seldom runs dry, small swamps, acacias and the enormous baobab trees.

  The game park has a relatively large population of African elephants. There are also buffalos, cheetahs, hyenas and lions to be seen. In the dry season the animals assemble at the marshes for fresh drinking-water.

• Day 4

  Serengeti National Park

  Leave the lodge right after breakfast and drive to Serengeti National Park, the road takes you through the Ngorongoro conservation area, Olduvai Gorge all the way to the central Serengeti there will be plenty of game viewing en route to the Serengeti.

• Day 5

  Serengeti National Park

  You will spend two full days in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park gets its name from the Maasai word Siringitu meaning endless Plain. The Serengeti is located along the rift valley and is abound with geological formations. One of Serengeti’s defining features are its Kopjes pronounced copy, a feature of continual weathering.

  These islands in the sea of grass are formed as the top soil comprising of rock and ash is eroded exposing the covered layer of metamorphic rock. These exposed rock forms “kopjes” are round as a result of spherical wind weathering. The national park covers an area of 14800 square kilometers most of which is grass plains.

  These rich grass plains a result of ash deposited by volcanic eruptions, and is home to 3 million animals. Within these grass plains the scattered kopjes act as a heaven for animals from grass fires, predators and the heat. This park offers the best opportunity of viewing Cheetah, Leopards and Lions.

• Day 6

  Serengeti National Park

• Day 7

  Ngorongoro Crater safari

  In the morning we will drive to the crater. Ngorongoro is a unique crater known as a Caldera. A Caldera is the aftereffect of a volcanic collapse, an implosion rather than explosion, Ngorongoro was formed some two million years ago. The Ngorongoro is found within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area authority and ecologically it covers an area of 8300 square Kilometers with varied terrain and altitudes.

  These variations result in diverse and distinct habitats from grassy plains to montane forest. The Crater itself measures an average of 18 Kilometers in diameter and approximately 700 meter vertical drop. Apart from being home to 25000 large animals it forms part of what is known as the Serengeti-Ngorongoro-Maasai Mara ecosystem.

  This ecosystem allows for the free movement of 1.5 million animals in their continuous search for green pastures known as the migration. The crater is one of the prime areas to observe the endangered Black rhino and black manned Lions.

• Day 8

  Fly to Zanzibar

  Depending on flight time, mostly in the afternoon you will wake up with leisure time in the morning at the lodge before driven to Arusha airport for 1hr flight to Zanzibar, upon arrival in Zanzibar our representative will be waiting holding a placard under your name, 90minutes transfer to hotel where you spend your holiday.

• Day 9

  Freetime in Zanzibar

  This magnificent island has pearl white beaches, a clear blue sea and pleasant temperatures that fluctuate between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius. A driver will pick you up and bring you to your hotel in the North of Zanzibar. There are many activities to do on the Island, which you can book additionally.
