Description

During this seven day Tour, you will enjoy the best that Tanzania has to offer. You will visit Tarangire National Park which is well known for its elephant families and iconic Baobab trees. You will also visit Ngorongoro Crater, a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five. After your safari, you will fly to Zanzibar where warm turquoise waters and the white sands of the Indian Ocean await you.

  • Tarangire National Park

Your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation in Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes, bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest.

These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife. After a full day in the Park, you will drive to your accommodation where you will be able to relax, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

  • Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar (Stone Town)

Rise and shine! It is an early departure to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This mornings destination is the world famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you have reached the crater rim, you will drive down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera to see a range of animals, grasslands, birds and a lake. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five” to spotted hyenas and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area.

After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will be driven to the airport (Arusha or Kilimanjaro) where you will catch a flight to Zanzibar. You will be met at the airport in Zanzibar by a representative from your hotel in Stone Town.He / she will drive you to your hotel where you will be able to relax and enjoy an evening meal.

  • Stone Town

Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar and little has changed in the last 200 years. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses. Stone Town has brought together many different elements of the cultures of Africa, the Arab region, India, and Europe over more than a thousand years.

You can spend endless hours just wandering through the fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways, absorbing the years of history. We would highly recommend a guided Tour of Stone Town, which can be organised at your hotel.Stone Town was recently and deservedly declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.After a days exploring the Town, you will return to your accommodation in Stone Town.
