In this short safari youll get a taste of the best Uganda has to offer, with animals of the savanna and primates of the forest. Youll see elephants, buffaloes, hippos and search for lions as well as trek chimpanzees in Kalinzu forest. If you are short on time this is a great option for getting a lot out of your safari.

  • Arrival at Entebbe ariport & transfer to Kampala

Be met by your guide at Entebbe international airport depending on your flight arrival. Transfer to Kampala spotting Lake Victoria from the road and getting your first sights of Uganda. Check in to the guesthouse to relax and be ready for the adventure starting next day.

  • White water rafting on the Nile

Leave Kampala in the early morning to head to the town of Jinja. Here you go white water rafting on the mighty Nile. Have a day of adventure as you go down the Nile. In the afternoon after the rafting you are taken back to Kampala to spend the night.

  • Transfer to the area of Rwenzori mountains

We leave Kampala in the morning to get out of the bustling city before traffic gets bad. Our target is to have lunch in Fort Portal as we enjoy the landscape with villages and tea-plantations passing by the windows. The night is spent by the Rwenzori mountains.

  • Rwenzori hiking through Montane Forest zone

Get to the briefing and start the hike in the morning. This days hike goes through the Afro montane forest zone with a steady climb for about 6 kilometers. You then continue along a steep ridge towards Sine hut. Close to the hut the beautiful Enock waterfalls are found.

  • Rwenzori hiking through Bamboo zone to small lobelia garden

This day you enter the Bamboo zone and head to Kalalama camp. At the camp you stop for a short rest then climb high before crossing a thick forest covered with hanging mosses to a small lobelia garden. You then descend through a mossy ridge to Samalira camp where the night is spent.

  • Rwenzori hike down & transfer to lodge by Queen Elizabeth NP

We have reached the last day of the hike and descend down through the Bamboo zone on to a heavily forest ridge. Here we can find many primates such as black and white Columbus monkeys if we are lucky. Continue down to the base camp. Your guide picks you at the base camp and you make the journey to the lodge at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park.

  • Relaxed morning and boat-cruise on Kazinga channel (optional morning chimps trekking)

Enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge taking in the view over Queen Elizabeth NP as you rest from the Rwenzori hike. Have lunch at the lodge and then get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel at 3pm, this is a 36kms channel linking Lake George - Lake Edward.

Here you can see Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other, the Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks, Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog and more. With your Binoculars along the peninsula you have a magnificent view of Birds and animals like the ever playing African Elephants in Waters as we sigh and reset Fatigue and stress, to point zero.- Chimps trekking option: After breakfast head over to Kalinzu forest to trek chimps and enjoy the jungle.

After the trekking drive back to the lodge for lunch. Not included in quoted price and adds 50 dollars per person.

  • Transfer to Bwindi mountains via Ishashas tree-climbing lions

In the morning we make the journey through the park to the southern Ishasha sector known for tree-climbing lions. Here will drive off for a game-drive in this adventurous vast savannah area with topis, and the southern version of elephants to hopefully get the Lions high in the Fig tree branches. After the game-drive transfer through to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. It is a beautiful drive as we journey from savannah, through villages, cultivated hills and on to the forest covered mountains of Bwindi.

  • Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. You head in to the jungle with a specialized guide in a small group to trek to the point where the gorillas are and spend one unforgettable hour around them.

This Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterfly and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and dikers. After the trek you guide picks you to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi through cultivated hills. After this afternoon we check in to a lake 1840m above sea level, in beautiful surroundings and safe to take a swim in.

  • Transfer to Entebbe & evening/night flight

We leave Lake Bunyonyi after breakfast and start the journey to Entebbe. It is a long day in the car made easier by a lunch stop in Mbarara and a stop by the Equator for some photo poses where the northern- and southern hemispheres meet. Continue on to Entebbe where your guide drops you off at the airport. Plan for a evening or night flight or add an extra night to fly the next day.
