Arrival at Entebbe Airport
At Entebbe Airport you meet your safari guide and make the journey from Entebbe to Kampala. Here you get the first impressions of Uganda, seeing the street life and busy life of the city from the car. Settle in at the hotel in Kampala and relax after the flight to be ready for the adventure starting next day.

Transfer to Sipi Falls for falls walk and meeting with Sebei tribe
Leave Kampala in the early morning and make the journey to Sipi Falls. The target is to arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Sipi Falls offers stunning scenery and beautiful waterfalls. In the afternoon you go for a guided walk to see three of the water falls close up and experience the local coffee ceremony with the Sebei tribe.

Transfer to Moroto through Karamojong wilderness area
We leave the stunning views of Sipi Falls in the morning and start the journey to Moroto. We continue our journey off the beaten track by going through the tribes, hopping for a market day to visit the tribes. It’s a very very remote area with a scenic reserve, local people, markets in the most un touched area and remote village set up as the highlights.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & boat-cruise
After breakfast continue your family safari in Uganda by driving through the Crater lakes in the hills to sample out the surprising diversity of Savannah trees and wild life! In the afternoon we get ready for the classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George - Lake Edward. From the boat you’ll see land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks, Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this Animal home.
With your binoculars along the peninsula you have a magnificent view of birds, animals like the ever playing African elephants in waters as we sigh and reset fatigue and stress to point zero (it’s a must on this day’s game view).

Morning game-drive in Queen Elizabeth NP and afternoon village walk
Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning, an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along and many more species that are residents to this park.
There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland spots as we reach the Flamingos in the salt lakes. Head back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon when the temperature has cooled down a bit go for a village walk discovering the nearby village and crater lake.

Gorilla trekking day- Bwindi Impenetrable national park & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early breakfast, which gets you ready for the exciting day. Arrive at the gorilla trekking starting point and set off for your big adventure to see the great giants of the misty mountains. You trek in a group with a specialized guide and get to spend one hour with the mountain gorillas. Besides the mountain gorillas this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterfly and plant species plus forest hog; forest Elephants, Statungas and Duikers.
After the trek your guide picks you and start the journey to the lodge by Queen Elizabeth national park. The way takes you from the forest covered mountains, to cultivated hills, villages and on to the savanna of Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth national park. Even though there is no game-drive this day there is good chances of spotting elephants, antelopes and if you are very lucky a lion or a leopard since the road goes through the park. Arrive at the lodge for a relaxed evening.

Game-drive and boat-cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Chimps trekking in Kalinzu forest and relaxed afternoon
After breakfast we head for the close by Kalinzu forest for chimps trekking. In this tropical rain-forest a community of around 80 habituated chimps live as well as beautiful birds and other forest creatures. Enjoy a walk and hopefully have an exciting meeting with the chimpanzees. Get back to the lodge for lunch after the trek and have a relaxed afternoon. You can either relax at the lodge enjoying the view or go for a village walk in the area letting you see village life and a nearby crater lake.

Transfer to the crater lakes area by Kibale Forest & walk to crater lake
Leave the area of Queen Elizabeth national park with the crater lakes area as the target. Pass by local markets and drive further through the crater areas. Check in at the lodge and go for a walk taking you to see beautiful views of a crater lake and hopefully some interesting primates such as Black and white colobus - red colobus and red tailed monkey plus colorful butterflies and various Bird species like the native Great blue Turaco.

Transfer to Hoima
It’s a long drive 4½ hours to cut off the distance tomorrow, a couple of fruits during the drive the pressure and fatigue is lessened with punctuation of stopovers at scenery like tea plantations along the drive ways - typical African village setup in the far countryside offer us chances of stretching, as we check in late afternoon.

Transfer to Murchison Falls NP (the Giraffe Paradise), boat-cruise and hike to the top of the falls
After a relaxed breakfast in the gardens, transfer to Murchison Falls national park. Have lunch at Red Chili rest camp. In the afternoon you go for the 2pm boat ride on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, Grooming in there Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you), Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them.
When reaching the falls you jump of the boat and go with a guide to the top of the falls. It is a beautiful hike that takes you to see the falls close up as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice before the Nile continues its journey towards the Mediterranean. Your guide picks you at the top of the falls and you continue on to the lodge. (This hike includes a steep trail so might not be suitable if you have some health issues.).

Morning game-drive and transfer to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for a trek with rhinos
Take a morning game-drive to explore the broad savanna for sights of big cats hunting, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, plus more as the checklist of mammals in Murchison Falls national park reaches 76. We continue browsing the circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. After the game-drive we leave the park to make the journey to Ziwa rhino sanctuary where they are working on reintroducing rhinos to Uganda. Go trekking the rhinos in the evening or early morning next day depending on time and where the rhinos are

Transfer to Jinja and relaxed afternoon
Leave the Rhino Sanctuary after trekking (if it was not possible on day 12) and head towards Jinja. Depending on time we have lunch along the way or when reaching Jinja. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon by the lodge. Here you find a swimming pool and a garden to relax in.

Visit source of the Nile and then transfer to Entebbe (option of rafting on the Nile)
This day we visit the source of the mighty river Nile, you go out on a boat-ride on the river to see it close-up. Have lunch in Jinja and then start the journey to Entebbe taking you through Kampala where you the guide can point out some main sights. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon/evening depending on traffic.- An optional activity this day is to go white water rafting on the mighty river Nile (not included in the stated price. There are options of half day and full day rafting. Let us know when booking if you are interested in this and we will make arrangements.

Flight day
In time for your flight your guide (or the guesthouse staff) drops you at the airport after an unforgettable safari in Uganda, discovering the magic of nature.- If you have an afternoon or evening flight it is possible to add a visit to Uganda Wildlife Educational Center (UWEC) or the botanical gardens in Entebbe, optional and not included in the stated price.
