In this short safari youll get a taste of the best Uganda has to offer, with animals of the savanna and primates of the forest. Youll see elephants, buffaloes, hippos and search for lions as well as trek chimpanzees in Kalinzu forest. If you are short on time this is a great option for getting a lot out of your safari.


  • Transfer to Kitugum Via Lira/ via Soroti or Gulu

    Be picked up by your guide in Kampala in the morning and start your Kidepo Valley National Park safari. Be prepared for a long day in the car as our target is Kitgum in the northern parts of the country. But it is a day with a lot to see as you enjoy the Ugandan landscape passing by the windows during this day of transfer.

  • Transfer to Kidepo valley National Park

    After breakfast drive northwards through Lira in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa.

    The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners, An evening game drive along the Narus River Valley for game Viewing and photography of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jacksons Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions.

  • At Kidepo valley National Park

    After an early breakfast, go for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich. In the afternoon have a cultural experience that will bring into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items.

  • Transfer back through Gulu

    We leave Kidepo Vally national park in the morning and travel through the remotest zones of Uganda. Along the way we see villages and thatched houses passing by the window, experiencing a part of the country that few tourists reach. The target for the day is the town of Gulu where we will spend the night.
