Come explore the very best of Uganda and Rwanda with us on this round trip! From Entebbe to Kampala, from stunning Murchison Falls to Budongo Forest for trekking chimps and from Fort Portal to enjoying nature in Kibale National Park. Big Game drives in Queen Elizabeth will make for unique memories and Lake Bunyonyi and nearby Bwindi Impenetrable Forests Gorillas will take your breath away. Rwanda is small but a small jewel nonetheless and Lake Mburo is just beautiful to see


  • Pick Up at Entebbe International Airport

    On your first day one of our personal guides or drivers will pick you up and welcome you at the airport, brief you about what is going to happen during the next fifteen days and together you will head to your hotel in Kampala. Once arrived you can relax, dine and slumber inside your hotel.

  • Transfer to Murchison Falls

    After an early breakfast your guide will drive you to Murchison Falls National Park. The ride will take you through Kawempe and Luwero or through Hoima Road with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos. Passing through Budongo Forest several primates like Chimpanzees, Red-Tailed Monkeys, Bush Babies and Black and White Colobus Monkeys can be found.

    After lunch you will reach the top of the beautiful Murchison falls where you can witness the great Nile exploding through a small seven meter gorge and its thunderous 43-meter drop. Murchison Falls NP is habitat to more than 76 mammal species: Giraffes, Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes and spotted Hyenas are common sights.

    Over 450 bird species live within the park including water birds, raptors and the famous Shoebill Stork. You have a good chance to see snakes being preyed on by birds, the giant Nile Crocodiles as well as Savannah Monitors. You will later check into your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

  • Game Drive and Boat Ride in Murchison Falls

    Waking up with a hot cup of tea or coffee for an early morning Game Drive we start chasing the sunrise. Keep your eyes open and you will find Buffaloes, Oribi, Elephants, Hyena, Rothschild Giraffes, Lions, Kobs and Waterbucks together with many birds.

    Head back and rest at your lodge until lunch time. In the afternoon have a Boat Ride along the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls. This Boat Ride on River Nile lasts three hours and you will be able to see Nile crocodiles, numerous hippos, buffaloes, elephants as well as various bird species. Return for dinner and a nice evening at your lodge.

  • Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo Forest & Village Walk in Hoima

    Following breakfast, go to Kanio Papidi where you will be briefed about this days activity: Chimpanzee Trekking. In Budongo forest you will walk in the shade of old and huge trees, seeing several bird species such as Puvel’s Illadopsis, Chocolate-Backed Kingfisher and the White-Thigh Hornbill that can only be found in this area in all of East Africa. Later head to Hoima, explore the village and life of the locals. Dine and slumber at your accomodation.

  • Transfer to Fort Portal for a City Tour

    After breakfast enjoy the beautiful drive to Fort Portal for a city tour and check out the Amabere Ganyinamwiru a limestone area filled with stalagmites and stalactites. They are traditionally referred to as “Breasts of Nyinamwiru”, the mother of the very first Bachwezi King. You will also visit the crater lakes within the area. Dine and slumber.

  • Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Nature Walk

    After your breakfast, proceed to the headquarters of Kibale National Park for a short briefing regarding chimpanzee trekking. From there you will head into the forest and begin searching for the chimpanzees. As youre looking around you will see various other primates such as Black & White Colobus Monkeys plus the L’Hoest.

    Observe the chimpanzees jumping from one branch to another as they pick their fruits for lunch. For your lunch you head back to your lodge and later have a walk in the swamp to see more of Ugandas natural diversity. Dine and slumber at your lodge.

  • Tranfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After breakfast head back to Queen Elizabeth National Park renowned for its diverse wildlife, inhabiting hippos, kobs, buffaloes as well as elephants and various bird species. Have a walk at the crater lakes such as Lake Katwe renowned for salt mining. Have your lunch back at the lodge go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel to see Hippos, Crocodiles and water birds from a distance. Dine and slumber at your lodge.

  • Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After breakfast, head out for a game drive to see the early risers such as the lions, hippos, water bucks, buffaloes as well as warthogs, in addition to several birds mainly within the Albertine Rift Valley. This very bio-diverse national park features great views of the open Savannah, rain forests as well as thick swamps.

    Head back to your lodge for a late breakfast. After lunch you will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel to see the various water birds, buffaloes and elephants. Dine and slumber at your lodge.

  • Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

    Following breakfast proceed to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi where you will have lunch. Afterwards enjoy a canoe ride on the second deepest lake of Africa and glide past the twenty-four small islands. This lake has various bird species such as cranes, black rumped buttonquail, cattel egrets, papyrus gonolek, plus the pink-backed pelican.

    Please note that this lake is bilharzia free and you are more than encouraged to take a jump inside. Dine and slumber at our home at Bunyonyi View Resort.

  • Gorilla Trekking

    Following breakfast, head out with a packed lunch to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will be briefed by park rangers regarding the Gorilla Trekking. Head into the forest and begin searching the gentle giants of the rainforest.The Mountain Gorillas are among the endangered prehistorically mammal species which can only be seen in Uganda, Congo and Rwanda.

    They stay in families, each with a dominant male, referred to as silver back. At the present time, there are estimated to be 720 mountain gorillas in the whole world. You will be guided into the verdant forest to start the search.The total time it will take before you see the gorillas is unpredictable (2-8 hours), but when you finally meet them, you will be filled with joy and wonder.

    You will spend one hour with them, take photographs and observe the young ones play while others feed.Following the tracking, you will return home to Lake Bunyonyi where you can enjoy the rest of your day.

  • Transfer to Kigali and Ruhengeri

    After breakfast proceed to Rwanda via Kabale. See the stunning hills surrounding you and go for an exiting city tour through Kigali. Go to the Genocide Memorial Centre to learn more about the victims of the countrys horrible genocide. Dive into Rwandas culture and in the evening enjoy some relaxing time in your lodge.

  • Lake Bunyonyi

    After you have your breakfast you get to spend one more day at Bunyonyi. After the drive, go for a walk, talk to the locals or, should you need an adrenaline boost, do some zip-lining. This day is just for you and we are happy to assist you in any way you wish.

  • Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

    Following breakfast proceed to Lake Mburo National Park to see the huge populations of impalas and zebras. In Addition the park has several Ugandan kobs, antelopes, impalas, dickers as well as bushbucks. Go to the salt licking area to see the various animals there gathering to lick the salt at this special place. Dine and slumber at your lodge.

  • Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala

    After breakfast drive to Kampala, with a game drive on the way. We will make a stop at the equator and take some pictures. Then proceed to Kampala where you will be transferred to Kampala. In the evening, you can choose to enjoy Kampalas night life, listen to some live music or simply relax in your hotel.

  • Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

    Depending on how much time you have and when your flight departs, options for this day include Ngamba Island for the chimpanzee sanctuary or the Wildlife Conservation Education Centre. Also you could pay a visit to Mabamba Swamps to see the Shoebill Stork up close.We will escort you to the airport and say our goodbyes. This is where our fifteen day Safari Adventure ends.End of tour.
