Description

This thirteen day Uganda safari tour includes visits to various tourist destinations in Uganda, hiking and a gorilla tour. You will have the opportunity to enjoy numerous adventure activities at a low cost. The safari will begin and end in Uganda’s capital city of Kampala.


  • Kampala

    Welcome to Uganda, the pearl of Africa! Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be directed to obtain an entry permit in case you do not already have a visa. One of our professional staff members will be waiting to great you. Depending on your arrival time, you may take some time to explore the city.

  • Sipi Falls

    Eat an early morning breakfast and then drive through the eastern part of Uganda via Jinja and Mbale to Sipi Falls. The Sipi River flows over the foothills of the Elgon mountain and creates a spectacular series of waterfalls. The falls themselves are flanked by village walking trails and green, coffee-producing fields. The journey will take approximately six hours.

  • Sipi Falls

    Today you will go on a hike after breakfast. Our standard hike takes three hours, but we also offer a seven-hour hike through the region for real adventurers! You will be escorted by a local guide who will explain the flora and fauna. Return to the Crow’s Nest for dinner and your overnight stay.

  • Jinja

    After a relaxing morning and breakfast you will make your way to Jinja, the second largest district in the country. The Nile River begins its long journey to the Mediterranean from Jinja. Take a boat trip in the afternoon to the place where John Hanning Speke discovered the river’s source. You also have a good chance of seeing a large number of tropical birds.

  • Jinja

    Your whole day today will be spent in Jinja. There are a number of activities you may opt to participate in here (cost not included). These include white water rafting at the Bujagali Falls, bungee jumping, or taking a horseback riding safari through some of the local villages.

  • Kibale Forest National Park

    Today you will drive to Kibale National Park in western Uganda. The road to the park is amazingly scenic. You will pass through tea plantations and the lush green countryside that characterizes so much of Uganda. Before heading into the forest, you will have time for an evening stroll through the nearby town of Fort Portal. While in the forest itself you will enter a completely different world from before. It is the home of habituated chimpanzees. It will take you seven to eight hours to reach the park.

  • Kibale Forest National Park

    Today you will enter the forest for chimpanzee tracking. These apes are the most intellectual species in the animal kingdom – perhaps even brighter than humans! In your search for the chimps you may also coming across the olive baboon, red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkey and the blue monkey. In the afternoon you will participate in a two to three-hour swamp hike. The high point of this experience will be sighting the blue turaco within the swamp.

  • Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After breakfast and a relaxing morning at the lodge you will make your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Your transfer to Queen Elizabeth will be relaxing and calm, particularly as you approach the Crater Lake area. We hope you appreciate the lovely landscape with its rolling hills. It will take you approximately three to four-hours to reach the park. You will participate in a game drive upon arrival.

  • Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before going on an early morning game drive. You can expect to see elephants, buffaloes, lions and other animals in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will go on an exciting boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. A good number of wildlife can be found along the channel, including hippos!

  • Queen Elizabeth - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Today you will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is located in the southern part of the country (an approximately nine-hour journey). Eat lunch en route before proceeding to Lake Mutanda, which is well positioned on the borders of Rwanda and the Congo.

  • Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    Today’s activity is unique and memorable – a hike to see the famous African mountain gorillas! You will be required to walk a reasonably long distance in search of these gorillas, passing through muddy and steep environments within the forest. It will all be worth it once you encounter these great apes. Take as many photographs as you can!

  • Bwindi - Lake Mburo National Park

    Your destination today is Lake Mburo National Park (Uganda’s smallest). Check in at your lodge and then go on a game drive. This drive will expose you to some unique animal species that are not easily observed in other parks, including the Burchell’s zebra. You will also see impalas, elands, topi, antelopes and a variety of a birds.

  • Kampala

    Eat breakfast at the lodge and then drive back to Kampala. Stop at the equator en route, where you may buy some local handicrafts and take photos. It is a three to four-hour drive to Uganda’s capital city and then an additional 45 minutes to Entebbe International Airport. This will conclude your safari.
