Description

This safari highlights the the parks and reserve of southern Tanzania. In small groups of max 5 people, you will walk with the rangers, swim in the Sanje water falls and go on unlimited game drives teemed with wildlife away from the usual tourists crowds. Accommodation will be in good mid range lodges. Although we have fixed departure dates, should you have a min of 4 (four) people, we will depart at a date of your choice.


  • Dar es Salaam - Udzungwa

    Depart from Dar es Salaam at 08:00 for Udzungwa National Park. Passing through Mikumi N. Park you will get a chance to view game life by the road side. En- route you will stop at local restaurant for lunch. Continue on for Udzungwa N. Park for a afternoon arrival. A short walk in the park and overnight at Udzungwa Dippa Lodge, full board.

  • Sanje Waterfalls

    After breakfast visit one of the one remaining rubber Rubber plantations and see who the sap is processed to end products such as tyres, latex, shoe soles etc. Thereafter go for a 2 hours walk in the park followed by a refreshing hike and swim in the Sanje waterfalls. Stunning views across the sugar plantations as you climb to 170 m above sea level. Overnight at Udzungwa Dippa Lodge, full board.

  • Drive through the escaparmernt to Ruaha national Park

    Depart in the morning after breakfast for Ruaha National Park. The drive to Ruaha is a truly fascinating one which gives you the real feel of the African countryside. The journey will see you pass sisal plantations, local villages before climbing the Great Rift Escarpment passing through Iringa Town and finally arriving to your Lodge. Arrival time will be late afternoon and overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, for the night, full board.

  • Game drive in Ruaha National Park

    Today you will enter the Ruaha National Park in search of game life. Leaving the lodge immediately after breakfast, we arrive at the parks gate in less tnan 30 minutes to begin our hunt for the elusive wild dogs, herds of elephants and buffaloes. After picnic lunch, continue with late afternoon/evening game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, full board.

  • Walking safari with armed rangers

    After breakfast, depart for a walking safari which will brings you close to some of the smallest animals and plants that you would not see on a game drive. The crispy fresh African air mixed with the wild smell of the animals evokes your smell sense to the intoxication unique bush smell of Africa. Each plant and tree has medicinal value in the African Community and our guide will point them out for you. Game drive follows and overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, full board.

  • Mikimi National Park

    After breakfast visit a traditional Maasai African village at Twingamalenga. Late afternoon game drive in Mikumi Mikumi National Park and overnight at Mikumi Safari Lodge, full board.The park is flanked between the Uluguru and Udzungwa Mountains. Mikumi National Park is home to buffalos, giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras and leopards. The park is also famous for its wild dogs and 6m long pythons.

  • To Selous game Reseve

    Early morning game drive in Mikumi before departing for Selous northern gate. The drive will be through some of the most scenic parts of Southern Tanzania. Villages and the Uluguru Mountains dot along the way. You will make a short lunch break by the road side arriving at the Camp by late afternoon. Late afternoon game drive and overnight at Sable Mountain Lodge, full board.

  • Explore Selous Game Reserve

    Take the day exploring Selous as the famous explorers did in the yester years. The largest game reserve in Africa, Selous covers 55,000 sq km. Picnic lunch will be under shady trees with a relaxing visit to the hot springs Overnight at Africa Safari Camp, full board.

  • Boat safari on the Great Rufiji River

    Early morning walking safari and thereafter a game drive. Return to the Lodge for lunch and at 16:00 depart for the afternoon boat safari. The boat safari brings you close to the aquatic animals and birds and overnight at Africa Safari camp, full board.

  • Back to where it started - Dar es Salaam

    Depart after breakfast for Dar es Salaam and to the airport or ferry to Zanzibar.
