Description

Ruaha NP is Tanzanias larges park and a host to a number of animals which rare or absent in the North. The rare animals include the African Wild dog, roan and sable antelope and the greater Kudu. The Great Ruaha River which provides life to the park, flows through the eastern side of the park and is home to hippos, crocodiles and a variety of water birds.

  • Fly from Dar es Salaam to Iringa

    Depart on the morning flight to Iringa Town arriving past midday. On arrival meet and greet by your guide and after lunch transfer to Ruaha N. park. Late afternoon game drive as you drive to your camp. Overnight at Mdonya Old Tented Camp on full board( breakfast, lunch and dinner).

  • Take a walk on the wild side

    After a light breakfast, depart for a walking safari which will bring you close to some of the smallest animals and plants that you would not see on a vehicle game drive. The crisp fresh African air mixed with the wild smell of the animals evokes your smell sense to the intoxicating unique bush smell of Africa.

    Each plant and tree has medicinal value in the African Community and our guide will point them out for you. The game drive follows and overnight at Mdonya Old on full board ( breakfast, lunch and dinner).

  • Ruaha full days game drive

    Leave the camp after breakfast for a full day game drive in search of the elusive wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs, herds of elephants and buffaloes. After a picnic lunch, continue on with a late afternoon/evening game drive before returning to the camp for an overnight on full board ( breakfast, lunch and dinner).

    With the introduction of the balloon safaris in Ruaha N. Park, you can now have a bird view of Tanzanias largest national park. The balloons safari begins at 06.30 - 07.30 followed by champagne breakfast. This is an optional activity with additional charges of USD 542 per person.

  • Ruaha full days game drive
