The safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth national park for wild game viewing and Bwindi impenetrable forest for the wonderful and more thrilling mountain gorilla trekking. It also involves visiting Jinja town famously known for its adventurous activities such as white water rafting, bungee jumping, Kayaking, Quad biking among others.

  • Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to the Hotel

    Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel by our company guide. Also, the guide will brief about the safari that will be commencing the next day. The guide will on this very day brief you about the safari and if the arrival time is convenient, you may opt to go for shopping the necessary tour requirements in case you may not have come along with them.

  • Travel to Kapchorwa with a short visit to the source of River Nile

    On this day, you will begin this memorable expedition whilst taking the Eastern route of Uganda with Kapchorwa as your destination for this day. Your day’s first Safari activity will be visiting the Source of the Nile in Jinja. It is intended that you spot where the Nile waters start to flow out of Lake Victoria. This will be done while having a boat ride along the waters of the Nile River Enroute to eastern Uganda, you will go through Mabira Forest-the largest natural forest in central Uganda and you will enjoy the scenic and magnificent views of both tea and sugar plantations.

    After a short visit to the source of the longest river in the world, you will proceed with the safari to Kapchorwa to explore Mount Elgon and hike the Sipi falls. On arrival, you will enjoy the beauty and scenery of the flow of the falls. You will also sight fauna and different floral species including Elgonensis lobelia and dotted clusters of peculiar groundsels.

  • Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park

    The third day of this Safari will be spent traversing the vast plains and semi-arid savannah of North Eastern Uganda with a motive of reaching Kidepo Valley National Park. Observing that this is quite a long journey, you will reach the park in the evening and spend your night at Kidepo Savannah Lodge. Kidepo Valley National Park is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa with a landscape of small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs.

    The temperatures in Kidepo are usually high, and this will certainly give you a good taste of adventure! While in Kidepo you can get stunning panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and wildlife such as Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, and Klipspringer among others. The park is renowned for its exceptional variety of birds of prey. While there it is likely that you can spot Ostriches, Kori Bustards, Pygmy Falcons, Verreaux’s Eagles, Egyptian Vultures, Abyssinian ground Hornbills among others.

  • Game drive and social interaction with the Karamajong people

    This day will start with a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring area. It is intended that you bisect the park such that you obtain more chances of encountering animals like the Hunting dog, Bat-eared Fox and other animals endemic to Kidepo National Park like the cheetah and the striped hyena.

    After the game drive, you will have a cultural interaction with Karamajong people at Karenna and Kapedo. You will meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them as they show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items used by them in their daily activities.

  • Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

    You will travel from Kidepo Valley on this day and head southwards to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls is Uganda’s largest national park and is a home to over 400 birds’ species. The park is also endowed with several attractions including mammal species with four members of the big five, the lion, the leopards, the elephants, and the Buffaloes.

    Other species include Bushbucks, Uganda kobs, Waterbucks, warthogs, Giraffes, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Hyenas, Hippos and crocodiles among other resident creatures. You will start the day in the morning and transfer through Gulu-Uganda’s biggest town in the North. You will continue the drive through the flat scenic landscape with local villages while enjoying the Ugandan countryside. You will arrive at Murchison Falls National Park in the afternoon and check in at your lodge.

  • Game drive and Boat Cruise to the base of Murchison Falls with the hike to the top of the Falls

    You begin your exploration of the park with a game drive in the northern circuit of the park. There you will encounter beautiful rolling plains. While in these plains you may view Lions, Giraffes, Buffaloes, and Elephants, Bushbuck, Spotted hyenas, Wild cats, leopards as well as many of the other mammals of the park. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat trip to the bottom of Murchison Falls where you will view the Nile as it thunders through a small 7-meter gap down to the delta.

    This experience is breath taking and should not to be missed. After docking at the shores, you will undertake a hiking experience to the top of the falls. While hiking, you will enjoy sighting this marvelous falls from different angles and it’s from the top where you will enjoy seeing the Nile River forcing its way through the narrow gorge. Upon completion of this fascinating expedition, you will be transferred to your lodge for relaxation and overnight sleep in preparation of the next day’s activities.

  • Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After breakfast, you will embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park and this is a long drive which might take several hours with enroute lunch from Hoima town. While on the journey, you may opt for occasional stopovers to enjoy views of beautiful sceneries like the Rift valley escarpment on Lake Albert.

    Also, this travel gives you an opportunity to have an insight about the typical African village setup in the far countryside and various plantations. Observing that reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park might be late in the evening, you will have to spend a night in Fort Portal town and continue with your travel the following day.

  • Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive and afternoon boat ride

    Early morning, you will travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, this safari will continue to give you a feeling of the thrilling wonders of Uganda’s wildlife. Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park with the game drive that will expose you to the diverse animal species. During the game drive, there is a possibility of seeing the Big FOUR members such as Elephants, Buffaloes, big cats- Lions, Leopards. Also, warthogs, Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the Circuits during the drive.

    After lunch, it is the fascinating time for the Classic highlight of the 2hours boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel- a 36km channel connecting Lake George to Lake Edward. On the banks, you will certainly see water and land Adapted Hippopotamuses yawning and some slashing canines to each other, the Crocodiles gaping along the Banks and the Savannah versions of Pigs- the Warthog.

  • Chimps tracking in Kalinzu Forest and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

    This day starts with opportunity to encounter with Man’s closest cousins-chimpanzees in the forest of Kalinzu. The activity starts with briefing where instructions on how to track chimpanzees are passed on. The forest is only accessible on foot and the walk will provide you with the opportunity to also see a variety of other primates and animals as well as birds and a variety of butterflies, and other insects. Chimpanzees are social, intelligent as well as communicative and among their very interesting traits are their abilities to utilize tools like rocks for crushing nuts, empty pods for hollowing out water plus sticks for capturing termites from their holes.

    A successful track of the chimpanzees will give you beautiful lasting memories about Uganda. After this expedition, you will have lunch and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest for yet another memorable highlight of this safari. You will reach and relax at your lodge in preparation of the next day’s highlight.

  • Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

    This day will begin by assembling at the briefing point for guidelines about this amazing activity. After briefing by the specialized site guide, you head to the forest. The trekking duration is determined by the position where the gorillas spent the night and their feeding range. Once the gorillas are found, you’re allowed to spend an hour with them.

    You will enjoy this memorable experience as you stand just few meters from the gorillas watching them feed; play and even watching them bond with their young ones. You will be amazed at how these creatures have so much resemblance with human beings. After this activity, you will relax at your lodge and if not exhausted, you will take an evening walk around the community for souvenirs.

  • Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation

    On this day, this safari allows you to relax at Lake Bunyonyi after the thrilling and awesome exercise of gorilla trekking and hiking. While here, you will enjoy canoeing and swimming. The spectacular scenery of the environs of the lake makes the place ideal for relaxation and refreshing. Lake Bunyonyi is located in south western Uganda at 1962m above sea level and is surrounded by steep sided heavily cultivated hills of Kabale.

    Lake Bunyonyi (literary meaning the place of many little birds) is a beautiful place with 29 islands dotting the center of the lake and believed to be the 2nd deepest lake in Africa after TanzaniaÂ’s Lake Tanganyika.

  • Travel to Entebbe

    You will start this day that concludes this safari with breakfast and then after check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home. Along the way, you will enjoy Uganda’s country side which is abundantly blessed with eye catching sceneries such as the hills, vast banana plantations and herds of the indigenous Ankole cow grazing on the road sides. Surely, your journey will be filled with moments of memorable exposure to nature. When you reach Mbarara town, you will have lunch at Igongo cultural center.

    While here, you will enjoy a short cultural expedition about the Banyankole tribe of western Uganda. This expedition will certainly enrich you with an insight about the traditional and current cultural set up about the people of Ankole. Also, stop and take in a visit to the Equator that runs through Uganda. It’s marvelous to have pictures taken underneath the Equator Sign to supplement your photo album.
