Description

Murchison Falls National Park is among Uganda’s largest National Parks measuring about 3,840 square kilometres together with the neighbouring Bugungu Wildlife Reserve and Karuma Wildlife Reserve. The safari park is part of the 5,308 square kilometres that make up the wider Murchison Falls Conservation Area. Safari Highlights of this Park is Rhino Tracking en-route to the park at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Game viewing and Game drive safari Launch Cruise or boat ride at the Bottom of the Falls.

  • Drive to Murchison Falls, Track Rhinos Enroute

    Set off from Kampala for Murchison falls national park. You will drive via Luwero, Nakasongola and Masindi districts. On your way to the park, you will break off the highway to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos. You will spend 2-3 hours trekking the rhinos. After this exercise, you will have lunch and continue with journey. Arrive at the park in the evening. The trip will provide you with an extensive eye-catching panoramas and then arrive at the park in the afternoon.

    Drive to the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its splendour. Here you will see the calm Nile dipping its self through a narrow gap to fall a gap of about 150 feet down mixing up out a loud white water, an incredible view! Cross over the Nile River by ferry for dinner and overnight at either Chobe safari Lodge or Paraa Safari Lodge.

  • Game Drive Safaris and Launch Cruise

    After breakfast, start an early morning game drive before dawn to catch up with the early risers. This exciting game drive will offer you with animals like the jackals, hyenas, giraffes, lions, antelopes, warthogs, elephants and the Uganda Kob among others. After lunch, the afternoon time will be for an open launch cruise. The boat trip will take you to the bottom of the falls where animals like the buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and rare shoe bills and many more will not escape your sight. Retire for overnight and dinner.

  • Drive to the Top of the Falls, Return to Kampala

    After early-morning breakfast, check out of the lodge, drive to the captivating Top of the Falls and leave for Kampala. The top of the falls is a wonderfully an eye-catching scene as its where waters of River Nile, Africa’s the longest river forces itself through a narrow rock path at only 7 meters width, before a deep fall of 43 meters. It is an incredible photo opportunity.

    After an hour or less at the top of the falls, proceed with the day’s drive to Kampala where you will arrive in the evening. Lunch en-route. Upon reaching Kampala, we shall transfer you to your hotel either or drop you to Entebbe Airport.
