• Day 1

  Dar es Salaam to Morogoro

  Your driver will pick you up in your private 4x4 landcruiser from your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Drive to Simbawenni just outside Morogoro in time for lunch. Explore the gardens, do some birding, pick up a good book or sit by the pool in the afternoon.

• Day 2

  Mikumi and Udzungwa National Park

  After breakfast you will head for a short game drive in Mikumi National Park. Find a quiet spot for a packed lunch and then head out of the park and on to Hondo Hondo camp, nestled amongst the Udzungwa mountains, in time to stretch your legs and look for monkeys around the camp.

• Day 3

  Udzungwa Mountains National Park

  Today you have all day to explore the local area and the park itself or spend some time relaxing in camp. Hike up to Sanje waterfall to find monkeys, maybe some swimming and jaw dropping views over the forest to the Selous. Plenty of optional community activities are also available.

• Day 4

  Kisolanza Farm

  After breakfast you will hit the road for Kisolanza Farm outside Iringa town, packed lunch in Baobab Valley en-route. Enjoy the cooler climate and remember to leave some room for a hearty dinner of fresh farm produce! Take a stroll to relieve your car legs.

• Day 5

  Tandala Tented Camp

  Take breakfast on the farm and start out for Tandala Tented Camp just outside Ruaha National Park. Enjoy the beautiful camp location and watch game from the bar in the afternoon or head into the park for a game drive. More optional activities include walking safaris and community project visits.

• Day 6-7

  Tandala Tented Camp

  Talk with your guide about half day or full day game drives, take lunch and drinks with you. Explore the wilds of Ruaha National Park, its wildlife and landscapes and return to comfort and hospitality at Tandala Camp. Talk with your host about the optional activities available.

• Day 8

  Pemba Island

  After breakfast at Tandala, head to the airstrip in Ruaha via a short game drive for your flight to Pemba Island via Dar and Zanzibar. You will be picked up at the Pemba airstrip for the drive and boat ride to Manta Resort, your reward is a stroll on the beach and a dip in the warm Indian Ocean.

• Day 9-10

  Manta Resort

  Choose from doing absolutely nothing, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, fishing, nature walks, community visits, massages or just taking in your surroundings. If you are feeling really adventurous, why not spend a night underwater in Tanzanias only underwater room!

• Day 11

  Return to Dar

  Unfortuantely this is the bit where you have to go back to Dar es Salaam and home... Day rooms, accommodation and car services can all be arranged once you are back in Dar es Salaam. You can fly out on your international flight the same night if you prefer.
