  • Arrival - Nairobi

    Jambo! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by a representative from Classic Safaris Ltd who will assist with the transfer to Fairmont the Norfolk, Nairobi’s finest and best known luxury hotel. Before checking in you will be briefed on your program ahead.

  • Nairobi Excursions: Daphne Sheldrick, Giraffe Center & Karen Blixen Museum

    After breakfast, depart to Dephane Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage situated on the outskirts of Nairobi. The Sanctuary is run by Daphne Sheldrick and is set in the grounds of her house. Here you will see the orphaned animals and meet the people who handle and care for these animals. Later, visit a nature center run by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. An elevated observation walkway allows you to get face to face with 18-foot-tall Rothschild’s giraffes. Lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens. After lunch, follow in the footsteps of Karen Blixen as you travel towards the Ngong Hills, you feel swept immediately onto the films set of Out of Africa the moment you arrive. The old colonial farmhouse is simple, housing a few items that Karen Blixen chose and once enjoyed herself.

  • Mount Kenya Region

    Depart for Nanyuki this morning arriving at the luxurious Mara Safari Club in time for lunch. The club has magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya and set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens which offer a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. Originally it was the retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden; the Club's illustrious former members have included Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby. For those who wish to spend time relaxing at the club, there are many recreational activities such as horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage and much more.

  • Ol Pejeta Conservancy

    After breakfast drive to Sweetwaters a privately-owned 24,000 acre reserve. Game here includes a parade of elephants, giraffes, zebras and impalas among other animals.  You will also visit the 200-acre Chimpanzee sanctuary established by Kenya’s Wildlife Service and the Jane Goodall Institute. Over twenty orphaned and abused chimps reside here while becoming rehabilitated so they may be reintroduced to the wild. Also found here are almost 400 bird species lurk in the savannah grasslands and riverine forests, including Augur Buzzard, Black Kite and African Harrier Hawk. Hot buffet lunch will served at the followed by an afternoon game viewing drive. Later drive back to you club for dinner and relaxation.

  • Maasai Mara National Reserve

    This morning your short flight takes you to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, backdrop to 'the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth', the annual migration of over one million wildebeest.  Arrive in time for lunch at the Mara Safari Club located in the Ol Choro Ol Roua conservation area. After lunch, spend the afternoon on safari in Kenya's most popular reserve. Drive back to the club in time for a swim, a hot shower, campfire cocktails and dinner in the restaurant at the center of club.

  • Day 6-7 Maasai Mara National Reserve

    Your two days will be spent on safari in Africa's richest wildlife viewing arena. Historically teeming with wildlife, the Mara hosts Kenya's largest lion prides and elephant herds. Other predators include leopard, cheetah and spotted hyena; while in the Mara River you will see fat pods of hippo and vast Nile crocodiles. Other highlights include giraffe tops, gazelle, zebra, buffalo and over 550 species of birds. Spend the evenings in camp where colorful Masai dance and cultural performances are offered nightly.

    Optional activities abound while you’re in the Maasai Mara.  You can try a balloon safari for an exhilarating experience over the savannah as the early sun rises and the animals are more active. If you wish, for a nominal fee, you can also visit a Maasai Village to experience this nomadic tribe’s way of life and see their colorful culture

  • Departure

    A last chance to photograph that awesome sunrise before your flight back to Nairobi. You will be met at the Wilson airport by your driver guide and rep who will assist with the transfer to the JKIA for your departure flight back home.
