Description

Named after the Wellworth Collection of luxury safari accommodations, which will welcome you each night, this safari takes you to all of the national parks in northern Tanzania. Start with a visit to the lovely Lake Manyara, where you will be greeted by a host of baboons; then on to the famous endless plains of the Serengeti; followed by the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the worlds wonders, and lastly to Tarangire, known for having the largest concentration of elephants in Africa.

  • Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

This morning, you will be met at your Arusha accommodation by your Safarihub driver-guide and safari consultant for a full safari briefing. After your briefing, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game viewing with lunch boxes. The park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment less than 130 kilometers from Arusha town, is one of the oldest wildlife sanctuaries in East Africa.

Here you will find a myriad of bird life, hippos, large buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra herds wandering on the grassy plains alongside giraffes (some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance). Late afternoon, you will proceed to your lodge situated very close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will enjoy a superb unobstructed view of the Ngorongoro Mountains. Dinner and Overnight at Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge(D, B, L).

  • Ngorongoro to the Serengeti

After breakfast, drive to the Central Serengeti, with game viewing possible en-route. Enjoy a full afternoon exploring the world’s most famous wildlife preserve. Late afternoon/early evening, head to your tented camp for relaxation and dinner. The evening is yours to enjoy. Dinner and Overnight at Ole Serai Luxury Camp Moru Kopjes (B, L, D).

  • Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, delight yourself with a full day of game viewing in the Central Serengeti. Millions of animals and birds thrive in the park’s vast Savannah and hilly woodlands. You will see plentiful species of plains game, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, hippo, giraffe and numerous fascinating lesser-known animals.

The Serengeti may be best known for its great annual migration (which passes through this area in June, October, and November), but the resident populations of animals are excellent all year round. Dinner and Overnight: Ole Serai Luxury Camp Moru Kopjes (B, L, D).

  • Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for another full-day game drive in the Serengeti with picnic lunches. Alternatively, you can enjoy a hot lunch back at your camp and head out again for more game viewing later in the afternoon. Return to camp for an evening at your leisure, with a delicious dinner. Dinner and Overnight: Ole Serai Luxury Camp Moru Kopjes (B, L, D) Optional: Take a hot-air balloon ride over the vast Serengeti plains for the ultimate game viewing experience.

Arrive at your launch site before dawn; take off as the sun rises. Your journey gives you a bird’s eye view of the wildlife as you look for leopard in the branches of an acacia tree. After your 40-60-minute ride, you will be met by the ground crew for a traditional “Champagne toast” followed by a magnificent breakfast, cooked and served in the Serengeti. The special cost for this is $570 per person. Advance reservations are required at the time of booking your safari.

  • Serengeti National Park

Get an early start today, packed lunches in hand, to make the most of your remaining hours in this spectacular animal kingdom. Late afternoon, return to Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge, where you will spend the night ahead of your Ngrongoro Crater Tour. Dinner and Overnight: Ngorongoro Oldeani Mountain Lodge (B, L, D).

  • Ngorongoro Crater

Have an early breakfast and then descend the 2,000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day crater Tour with picnic lunch. Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants; the lake area, where you may see the flamingos; and the open savannah, where the lions hunt for food. If your are lucky, you might even have the chance to see the elusive black rhino! Late afternoon, head to your lodge overlooking the Great Rift Valley wall. Dinner and Overnight: Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge (B, L, D).

  • Tarangire National Park And Back To Arusha

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunches to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and the greatest concentration of elephants in Africa. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha to your drop-off point.
