  • Arrival in Arusha

    On Arrival you will be met and Transfer to your Hotel. Nestled at the foot of the wooded slopes of Mount Meru, this unique hotel in Arusha stands amid coffee plantations on the shores of tranquil Lake Duluti.   • Arusha to Lake Manyara

    This morning your safari guide and four-wheel drive vehicle will meet you for a full safari briefing. Your safari today will be in the Lake Manyara National Park, made up of forest, arid land and a soda lake that attracts over 400 species of bird, it is not unusual to spot 100 different species in one day. The park is also home to tree climbing lions, leopards, giraffe, elephant and well as plains game and hippo.

    Standing high on the edge of a towering terracotta escarpment with panoramic views over the glittering alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of safari opportunities, peace and tranquillity, wildlife discovery, and ornithological richness.   • Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater

    This morning you leave Lake Manyara and head for Ngorongoro Crater, which is a World Heritage Site and is the world’s largest inactive, intact volcanic caldera. This natural amphitheater is rich with vegetation and is a draw card to over 22,000 large animals including black rhino, hippopotamus, cheetah and African wild dog. Spend the remainder of the day enjoying the crater, before you check in at the Lodge for the night. Dinner and overnight at The Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (B, L, D).

  • Explore the Ngorongoro Crater

    Today enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive of the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the worldÂ’s largest intact caldera (collapsed volcano).

    Today we descend the 600 meters into the crater by 4-wheel-drive vehicles for a full day safari. Over 30,000 animals live within this enormous natural bowl, the most densely packed concentration of wildlife in Africa.

    You should see wildebeest, elephant, lion, dik-dik, and warthog, whilst on the lakeside there are pelican, ibis and flamingo. Picnic lunch at the site. Dinner and overnight at The Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (B, L, D).

  • Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti

    An early start this morning, your safari will continue towards the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park. This park is famous for its annual migration of zebra and wildebeest which occur in July, August and November. You will spend a full day traveling including game viewing, providing you the opportunity to spot Africas big five, lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant as well as many other species of animal.

    Set high on the saddle of a tree-clad ridge, commanding panoramic views across the Serengeti, this lodge is the ultimate fusion of traditional African architecture and world-class style. Centrally located adjacent to the famous Western Corridor and Grumeti River, the lodge has been designed to blend completely into the living landscape. Situated close to the world-famous 2-million-year-old paleolithic site of Ol Duvai, ‘birthplace of mankind Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (B, L, D).

    You will have a full day in Central Serengeti Park Millions of animals and birds thrive in the park vast savannah and hilly woodland, and the luxurious Lodge is superbly located on the hill with a fascinating view of the Serengeti plains.   • Serengeti Western Corridor

    After breakfast you drive to the Western Serengeti – en route Game viewing. In the magnificent are of over 6,000 sq miles, the variety of wildlife is endless.   • Fly back to Arusha

    After early morning game drive, drive to the camp for breakfast – Proceed to Grumeti Airstrip for your flight to Arusha. We can arrange a beach extension to Zanzibar or an additional night in Arusha at your request.
