Description

Ruaha National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania. It covers an area of about 13,000 square kilometres. It is located in the middle of Tanzania about 130 kilometres from Iringa. The park is part of a more extensive ecosystem, which includes Rungwa Game Reserve, Usangu Game Reserve, and several other protected areas. The name of the park is derived from the Great Ruaha River, which flows along its South-Eastern margin and is the focus for game-viewing.


  • Transfer from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park

    Breakfast and then depart to Ruaha National Park from Iringa town. It’s the second largest national park in Tanzania. The Ruaha River flows with in the park. Ruaha national park is home to over 520 bird species, 80 animal Species, 38 Fish Species. You will have dinner and overnight at the Ruaha Bandas.

  • Full day game viewing

    After early breakfast you will go for a full day of game viewing. During the game drive you will spot animals like the buffalo, zebra, Defassa waterbuck, impala, giraffe, Lichtensteins hartebeest, antelope, Grants gazelle, elephant, Lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, Spotted hyena, Waterbuck, jackal and some birds like the saddle-billed storks, white-headed plovers, goliath herons and the white - backed night heron. Dinner and overnight at the Ruaha Bandas.

  • Ruaha national park to Iringa or Dar es salaam

    After breakfast you will depart back to Iringa or Dar es salaam.
