Dar Es Salaam - Mikumi National Park
You will be picked-up by our driver/guide from Dar Es Salaam in the early morning hours and drive to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival at mid morning, you will take off on your first game drive to explore Mikumi National Park.
The park is one of Tanzanias larger parks and has excellent bird life as well as great viewing of the African predators. You will leave the park in the time for a great view of the amazing sunset, heading to Bastian Campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Mikumi - Dar Es Salaam
After an early breakfast, with packed lunch boxes in hand, you will check-out from the campsite and make your way to ex experience another exciting half day game drive. Hopefully what you may have missed on your first drive will be seen today! The landscape of Mikumi is often compared to that of the Serengeti. The road that crosses the park divides it into two areas with partially distinct environments.
The area northwest is characterized by the alluvial plain of the river basin Mkata. The vegetation of this area consists of savannah dotted with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palm. In this area, at the furthest from the road, there are spectacular rock formations of the mountains Rubeho and Uluguru. The southeast part of the park is less rich in wildlife, and not very accessible. Later in the day, your driver/guide will return you to Dar Es Salaam, where your safari will come to an end.
