Arrival Kilimanjaro - Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, your Tanzania Specialist guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Settle into your accommodation, relax and get used to the African atmosphere. Ready to start your safari proper in the morning.

Arusha
Today is for leisure to give you time to acclimatize. You can relax at the swimming pool or explore the environment surrounding the lodge. Your guide will visit you at the lodge for a safari briefing. If you like to do an activity today, just let us know, there are plenty of options like walking, canoeing or a city Tour.

Arusha National Park
After breakfast your guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Arusha National Park, where your safari Start. This charming park has a rich diversity of landscapes and wildlife. From lakes, waterfalls and swamps to volcanic, mountains and tropical rain forests. They attract many beautiful birds including silvery-cheeked hornbill and thousands of pink-hued flamingos.
This park is also the only place in northern Tanzania where you can easily spot the black-and-white colobus monkey.One of the popular safari activities in this national park is a canoe or walking safari with an armed ranger. A great change to enjoy wildlife up close, from a different perspective than sitting in a safari vehicle.

Arusha
Today is for leisure. You can choose to relax at the pool or go on one of the many activities, such as, Mountain bike Tour through villages and beautiful nature, Visit the Materuni Waterfalls at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Walking Tour through coffee plantations, Visit local market, Horse riding, Nature walk or canoeing at Lake Duluti.

Tarangire National Park
Today you depart after breakfast to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Since this is one of the lesser known parks in Tanzania, it still has an authentic safari atmosphere. The hilly landscape with Baobab trees scattered against the blue sky, is breathtaking. Witness the WorldÂ’s largest concentration of elephants.
Herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen around the Tarangire River, drinking or enjoying a mud bath. Apart from elephants, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers. In the area around the swamps you can also see lions, leopards, cheetahs and even tree-climbing pythons.

Serengeti National Park
Today you continue your safari to Serengeti National park. This is the place were the most impressive nature documentaries were shot. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration of more than a million wildebeest is probably Serengeti’s main draw. It is a true spectacle of nature and impressive to see millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelle thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti.
Together with your guide you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of AfricaÂ’s most famous park.

Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning you drive in 3 hours from Arusha to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road leads you over the Great Rift Valley, through the crater forest, to the striking Ngorongoro Crater. This collapsed volcano is the main feature of the area and creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation.
Enjoy the beautiful colours of the landscapes and the wealth of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration wildlife in Africa and is filled with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of AfricaÂ’s Seven Natural Wonders.

Zanzibar - Airport
Today will be at leisure to relax or explore as you like. Your driver transfers you to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight later. On day 18 you will arrive back home.
