• Day 1

  Transfer to Murchison via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary

  You will be picked by your guide at the hotel after having breakfast, and embark on a journey to Murchison Falls; northwest of the country. On this drive, you will branch off in Nakasongola to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary located in Nakitooma village where you will participate in the afternoon session of Rhino Tracking on foot. Rhinos are members of the African Big Five that are a must see on your African safari, they are an endangered species and in Uganda, its here they can be traced in their natural habitat.

  On this activity, you will be accompanied by a ranger guide through the wilds of Zziwa and of course theres a lot to see including mammals like Bush bucks, Red-bucks, Oribis and Kobs among others. Have lunch here or in Masindi town and we continue with the drive all the way to Murchison area, head to the lodge where you will have an evening relaxation with the beautiful views of the Nile in its vicinity. Dinner and overnight will be here.

• Day 2

  Launch trip, Hiking to the falls and Game drive

  Start with an early breakfast and then head to Paraa to participate in a morning launch trip upstream to the bottom of the exciting falls. This one-way launch along the Nile rewards you with some of the great game in Murchison, the banks are dotted with wildlife and you can expect to see the Nile crocodile, Buffalos, Hippos and some other mammals, bird life is prolific and there fore expect to see a number of them. From the boat, you will start to hike to the top of the falls and its no doubt this is the highlight of the tour.

  The top rewards you with stunning views and snap moments as you see and hear the Nile explode through a small gorge. In the afternoon you will have lunch and some relaxation, thereafter you will explore the savanna plains of the park on a game drive through the Northern bank that hosts variety of mammals; lookout for the African Elephant, Cape Buffalos, Jacksons Hartebeests, Kobs, the Rothschilds Giraffes and hopefully the elusive Lion and odd Leopard.

• Day 3

  Drive through the park heading for Chimpanzee tracking and travel back to Kampala

  After an early breakfast, you checkout from your lodge and then drive through the park looking out for more game on the circuit through the Northern Bank, keep your eyes open for the morning grazers as you proceed to the southern sector in the direction of Budongo Forest.

  Arrive in time for the morning session of Chimpanzee tracking through Kaniyo Pabidi sector. Expect to see a number of forest species including more primates and birds. After the activity, embark on the drive back to Kampala, breaking off en-route for lunch in Masindi. On arrival, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight or be dropped at your hotel.
